Wouldn’t you want to play infection again like in Reach? There are so many fun game types that are ruined by the flood’s inability to use weapons, spawn with weapons, and drive vehicles. This game type also disallows weapons spawning on the map(I shouldn’t have to put up with this ordnance drop crap). A lot of the best game types are not possible anymore, example; Duckhunt(requires major modifications to work, and still has some flaws), Hot Pursuit, Fat Kid(This really disappointed me, because not only were the humans not able to pick up weapons because they never spawned, but the alpha flood, the fat kid, respawns as a normal zombie. So all alpha zombie game types are also obsolete), and a lot of other game types I’m sure you can’t play either but can’t. What happened to just screwing around, humans infecting humans with who knows what weapons. So if you guys think that 343 should cut the flood crap(not that they should get rid of it) and just bring in a new game type, just infection with zombies (that can actually use weapons and vehicles depending on the settings), and alpha zombies (after they die, they should still be alphas, or make an option to change whether or not they stay alphas.
Post ideas for a Halo 4 infection game type (Please don’t bring back zombie ghosts) and also share the game types that are no longer possible in Halo 4’s Flood.

I took a look at his file share, and a lot of the game types are…well, interesting. I kept a few but I was really interested in the ‘Duck Hunt-Halo (Mod)’ game type because it allows the flood to carry weapons. But I became disappointed in the lack of alpha flood’s ability to respawn as alpha flood. But they’re on the right track. Getting there though. Also there needs to be a ‘weapons on map’ option, which I could then switch to ‘Map Default’.

Check Out lordcrusnik1986’s file share and look at the ‘Duck Hunt-Halo (Mod)’. You may be interested in the flood’s ability to carry weapons(other than their claw). Just edit the weapons of the flood (getting rid of the sniper rifle), and have fun!
Flood IS Infection. Quit saying they’re completely different.
The only issue with Customs is the Flood can’t hold weapons and weapons can’t spawn on the map for the gametype. Both of which issues will be fixed in a TU.
Saying Flood isn’t Infection is like saying Infection isn’t Infection because Infection can’t have the Zombies hold weapons while Infection can. See how stupid that sounds?
I love Flood. I’m very happy 343i finally made the Zombies in Infection actual Zombies by adding Flood Combat Forms when infected in Infection. Love it, and makes the gametype feel very unique and sometimes scary! And it’s very fun and balanced in Matchmaking, unlike Reach’s could have ever tried, and it’s even more fun and balanced than Halo 3’s, which is a huge plus. The only issue I have with the Matchmaking is the Flood’s overpowered Thruster Pack. As soon as 343i gets rid of the Flood’s Thruster Pack in Matchmaking, I’ll be playing Flood much more often!
But as for Customs, a TU to allow players to change the Flood’s Loadouts will be very much appreciated.
But Flood ruins everything and drains the fun from custom games. I remember in Reach you could take a party of 4 into a random map in your local files and have fun no matter what, especially in unique versions of Infection.
I am a forger in halo 4, and the infection game type in reach was really fun to work with, it made really fun maps and mini games. The flood game type in halo 4 is a downgrade from the halo reach’s infection game type. I think that either a new flood game type should be added which would allow the flood to drive vehicles, use weapons. Or that the existing game type should be updated. Also I am upset about the removal of fine editing, and camera zoom.
