A thought had occurred to me when looking at the oceanic armour, being are we going to be seeing some underwater action?
After all most other armour permutations seem to make sense in the game.
So if this is the case, will we see some amphibious vehicles or underwater scenery as you could go to a certain level underwater in reach.

I doubt there will be missions where your Spartan goes underwater. We already know that the two new vehicles will be the Cyclops and the Mammoth, so there will not be a water-based vehicle. Seems pointless to me anyways.
Just because there is an armor called “Oceanic” doesn’t mean there will be instances where we interact with water. There was no space-walking in Halo 3 but there was EVA armor. There was no chemical or biological ops in Reach but we had HAZOP armor. We didn’t use a parachute but there was armor designed specifically to hook up with a chute (HP/Parafoil).
It may be called Oceanic because historically, Spartans have conducted underwater operations at least once (in Ghosts of Onyx, Fred refers to an underwater mission conducted by Blue Team in the Yucatan Peninsula.) So canonically, there is a need for Spartans to go sub-surface on occasion, but this most likely does not coincide with gameplay.

Thanks for your input.
As you said though with EVA armour, we did go into space with reach, so we might be seeing a new direction for the game. I do see where your coming from, it was just a thought

I really want something similar to that again. It was surreal traveling on the water in Halo 2. I felt like I was actually on a boat and hen fighting covies while doing so was awesome.

I’m sorry if I have offended you and if your not then its all cool

But they would drown, I think you know that from Ghosts of Onyx.
