halo 4 in 3d?

I know Halo CEA was in 3d, and for those of us that can use it (well, at least for me anyway) it was simply awesome. Anyway, any thoughts or news about halo 4 in 3d? 2 good things I could see coming from it if it is available:
1: higher detail 2-player co-op…I noticed this in CEA, 2-player split-screen showed virtually no drop in detail from single-player. Simply put, 3d= 2 separate images and also 2P Co-op= 2 separate images.
2. Some TVs (mine included) are accommodating gamers that play split screen by allowing full screen for each player…it simply requires glasses that use L/L for one player and R/R for another…the only problem with the TV doing it for you is that the game’s proportions are off, as the TV is literaly stretching either half of the screen over the entirety of it, usually making the image too tall. Some option to either account for this stretching or handle the alternating images in-game would be nice.
I hope my thoughts get across in this, I know it’s a bit jumbled, but I would definitely love to see 3d play and full screen multiplayer implemented on Halo 4.

So, Any thoughts?

LOL NO. It has been confirmed that it’s not going to be in 3D

I would love 3d in Halo 4 however its been announced that it won’t :(.And before anyone says anything 3d can work in shooters look at GOW 3 and Kid icarus uprising

Hmm…hadn’t seen that announcement. Well still, it doesn’t mean some of the other options I mentioned, like the screen proportion controls, couldn’t be added in. It’s actually pretty neat to play multiplayer fullscreen on Reach…my 3dtv does it, and it eliminates screen watching, which my son is notorious for. But as said earlier, when I do that, the image for each player is too tall, and the menu when paused only shows either the top or bottom (depending on the player)…so while it is awesome it’s not perfect.

I’d rather time spent on more important things, especially the fact that this is the Xbox 360’s main exclusive and they need to make it the best they can and add in as many features as possible.

3D is also pretty stupid, well judging from friends TV’s and in the cinema, it’s not much different but just looks weirder and hurts my eyes.

But I don’t mind if there’s 3D in the game since there’s actually people who like it.

I agree that balancing the game should be top priority…3d or no, flashy visuals are no substitute for solid game mechanics.

just curious…you said it hurts your eyes. What kind of 3d technique was used? My TV uses passive glasses, I can even use RealD cinema glasses on it, and have never had a problem with any eyestrain, even if I leave them on for extended periods of time. I’ve heard active glasses tend to have a bit of a flicker effect to them that causes eye strain.

Its sad that there is no 3d mode :frowning: My 3D tv would be happy.

As would mine. Also, from what I’ve seen from other 3D games, those without 3d seem to benefit from the increased frame rates and level of detail needed to make the 3d look good, so having it is really a win-win.
Although, I wonder if the people that are voting no on the poll realize it would be optional and wouldn’t effect those that can’t or don’t want to do 3D?

(Yes I realize at this point 3D in the game is a hypothetical “What if”)

I think most of them who voted NO havent played a game in 3D at all.
