Yes, iv’e gone over re-skinning a billion trillion times, but I have some -Yoink!- to add too it. So first, let’s go over what we already have written down…
>Basic re-skinning
>Painted textures (Colours/Vegetation etc)
>Set texture sets (ONI: Alpha site texture, Sandblasted texture etc)
Now, here are my add-ons:
>Wireframe mode
Wireframe would work like this: say you’re trying to edit a block, it has 6 sides, and you’re trying to paint it the same on this side as you did on the other, but how are you supposed to make it perfect? No matter, just turn Wireframe on, and the Block turns into Wireframe, and everything else disappears. You can see the other side now as well. Wireframe can also be used for sculpting, moving various points on the frame for a slightly different shape.>Snap
I think everyone knows what regular snap is, but with textures, you can make “sets” of textures that attach to each other to varying degrees. Like “Sandblast1 attaches to Marble1 at 40%”.>Liquids
Okay, very quick one here- texture that has liquids leaking from it or used on it. Like a fountain, or a vent, or pipe or something like that. (Ever see that one Fallout 3 mod with the base underneath the super duper mart? Remember the walls that had the vents leaking water? That would be so -Yoink- in H4).>Particles
Particles: Various effects given to a texture, for example: Flames, electricity, Giger, Gears. Pretty self explanatory, just moving parts on textures.
