I absolutaley HATE when all that is tweaked between difficulties is enemy number, damage and damage resitance.
Put in an AI that is as smart as it can be on the hardest difficulty, different tactics that it can use and so on, then whith decreased difficulty some tactics get unavailable and so on.
Then go SoF style and give the player the ability to tweak their own difficulty

I’m with you on that, I wish they let the enemy AI switch their weapon. Enemies that are on the threat level of a brute or an elite should be allowed to carry two weapons. One would be a close range weapon and the second could be a mid-ranged weapon. The weapon they wield would vary depending on your proximity, this would kind of spice up the gameplay imo. This could allow the enemy to change up it’s means of attacking and instead of distancing himself from you with a mid-range weapon, he could be more aggresive and even charge with a close range weapon.
Well to be honest bungir said heroic was the most like realtiy. The Most. In reality everyone would be smarter and die quicker (less health more damage) and master chief would get more marines
This is how I see a realistic mode-
-I would assume there would be better A.I.
-More damage, less health (Plasma/bullets would be OP)
-The A.I. would have non aimbot aim and miss more
-Vehicles I assume would blow up faster.
The game(in general) would be easier in my opinion.
Reach Legendary has A.I. that are bullet sponges and making it realistic would only make it easier.
What about a difficulty that learns from the players behaviour in game? Basically, you can’t use the same trick twice.
Example 1: In an earlier game you used stealth and bypassed the enemies. On this difficulty the enemies will now block that path.
Example 2: You get stuck on a certain section of a level, you try the tactic of throwing all of your grenades and it almost works but you still end up dying. Next time the enemy will be more spread out making grenades less effective.
If done correctly, this difficulty will become almost impossible beat after several attempts.
like 1 life all campaign realistic? or like you can be wounded and discharged from service because you fractured your back after running your hog over a covenant ied. which btw sounds like a dope addition to this game like the land mines in 3

Or how about dual wielding energy sword and plasma rifle like from the deliver hope trailer, On legendary/LASO that would make you wet your pants wouldn’t it?
