The one thing I hate about what I have seen in Halo 4 videos online. Is that when you kill someone, get a spree, headshot etc etc.
A message is displayed in the middle of your screen/HUD displaying this.
I think this totally sucks, and should be to the left where your medals are. Keep the center of your screen, clear of crap.
BF3 and COD both do this and it sucks.
Especially in BF3 when capturing a Check Points you have a massive A in the middle of your screen and you can’t see anyone as it blocks your field of view.
This = FAIL.
343 Please FIX.

It was done to make the side not so cluttered. The word Kill is alot smaller than “You killed xXxSm0Kew33d4lyfe420xXx with a headshot”
(That was my generic XBL gamertag for all the hipsters)
Currently it doesn’t bother me. It’s so minute that it’s hardly distracting like the Commendation Progressions are. If it’s moved, I won’t lose any sleep over it, but it’s not on my #1 Must Change list.
Agreed, OP.
This was one of the things you could always rely on Halo for: no clutter.
It is the only thing I have found with the game I don’t like.
If it does not change, I will just be annoyed. But would not buy the game because of this.

It is not as bad as COD and BF3 display pop-ups…
Here’s the funny thing, in one of BravoMLG’s commentary videos they talked about this and the guy from 343 was just like “did you notice them when you were actually playing?” and they were like “wait, no we didn’t…” So while it may look like it’ll be distracting from the videos, I think once we actually sit down and play it ourselves it’ll be a lot less noticeable.
Also, with the way that they implemented the display, I think it’ll be a lot less of a problem than it is in other games (though I personally don’t have a problem with the displays in those games, so I can’t say for sure).

They aren’t going to fix it a bunch of MLG Guys who got to play they were worried about this but then as they were playing they said they never noticed it at all, they probably glanced but other than its not a distraction at all because you don’t notice it.

Well when you’re playing what are you focused on?
I think it was pretty unnecessary… they’ve already separated the combat log from other info (like on the left side where the news feed is, all stuff related to winning is kept separate from other things), so why couldn’t they just add this to one of those? It wouldn’t be cluttered at all.
That being said, it doesn’t bother me that much.
