so my friend has been playing for a couple of days and hes already a SR-43. and each ten levels after SR-50 is the equivalent in XP as SR-40-SR-50. So pretty much people will be MAX Rank SR-130 in just a week or 2 and this upsets me as I wanted the ranks to be long and take awhile to achieve.

While it is may be possible, I highly doubt that. It will probably be pretty easy to rank up if you are good and no life it.

I hope it’s not too easy. I don’t think anyone should be able to get it too fast.
The progressive system was mainly kept for weapon and gear unlocks. There will be true skill ranks for competetive playlists which you can check through waypoint.

Getting to SR130 in a few weeks compared to a whole year to get to Inheritor Reach is a big difference. I hope it’s not as easy as people say. It’s shocking people are already on SR47 on this forum.

Just so they can rank back up in a few days? No point really. Everyone will get the BR and DMR in a match or two.

I’m only a General (and I just got that yesterday). I don’t really care though. I just wanted General because I think the emblem looks the coolest.
This seems to be an on going trend. They have to find a balance. A ranking system that isn’t impossible and isn’t to easy. I believe it will probably be pretty fast unfortunately. I actually don’t mind reach’s ranking. Halo will be the only game I play probably up until the next halo comes out.
I believe the ranks are just for something that you get for playing, I think theyll focus more on a true skill thing.

or it could be an early rank cap, like in Reach where Lt Colonel grade three was the highest rank for a little while.
