Halo 4 Hidden Skulls?

Do you think halo 4 will have hidden skulls around maps?

Let’s just say, I will be very surprised if skulls aren’t in Halo 4.

I can’t remember where i heard it from but i remember Frankie or someone from 343I confirming that the skulls are hidden.

I sure hope so; I loved searching for skulls in Halo 2, 3, and Anniversary. Was very fun.

Sure, no real Halo game to date has failed to include the hidden skulls, even spin offs like ODST and Halo Wars managed. I know some atrocity that didn’t, but since cursing isn’t allowed I’ll refrain from mentioning the name of that game :stuck_out_tongue:
Hunting down and searching for those skulls as well as using them to enhance campaign is a great part of the Halo experience imo :slight_smile:

Skulls in H2 were the best.

*lots of them. Hardly any redundant skulls
*even distribution between difficulty and fun skulls. Power was given to the player. Massive tricking potential
*placed outside of the map and not blatantly obvious like in H3 or like the Bobs in Reach (immersion breaking)
*red herring: H2 Blind was put there as a distraction. It also had an actual purpose: for machinima, to compensate for the lack of Theater
*unique challenge: IWHBYD. Totally customizable. You can bring AI there, prepare weapons, scenery, vehicles for the battle, etc.
*AI scenery (dead Grunts, berserking Elites, seizure Flood, dancing Heretics) and/or unique AI (cloaked fuel rod Grunt)

Anyone who says H3/ODST/Reach/CEA skulls are the best is evidently wrong.

H3/ODST/Reach skulls placed emphasis on difficulty, only offering 4 fun skulls, of which only 3 are actually fun. Instead of Blind, it should have been total hud customization. Also, there are no AI modifying skulls like Armory. Catch and Tough Luck are hardly AI modifiers since they make it easier to kill the AI.

Half of CEA skulls were redundant (Malfunction, Foreign) and changed gameplay for the worst (even Bandanna, which should have only affected guns. Or at least make the grenades take some time to regenerate like in H3 custom games/forge). Foreign is abomination. Eye Patch sabotages gun play.

The only interesting new skull has to be Pinata.

The only new thing about the classic skulls is that Black Eye recharges shields instantly.

I’m almost certain they will even though Bungie isn’t developing the game. CEA included them and that was done by 343 Studios. I think the only game that didn’t include hidden skulls around the maps is Halo Reach because I don’t recall ever seeing any and my strategy guide for Halo Reach didn’t mention anything about hidden skulls.

Skulls better make a return! I need a reason for a fourth campaign run lol.

I don’t think ODST had any hidden skulls in the game either.

Well, 343i put them in Halo CEA. So I’m really hoping there’re.
