So I haven’t really read the new books so excuse me if they confirm something at all about this but… ever since the Covenant fell apart and the elites split from it to help the human race (Halo2-Halo3) but more specifically at the end of Halo 3, it at the very least seemed like all the Elites were at peace with humans but to anyone who’s seen some campaign footage from Halo 4, you can clearly see an Elite taking a huge disliking towards the Chief by rushing at him with an energy sword…
Now that said, those might be “loyalist” elites still clinging to the idea that the Covenant is still against humanity and well… that leaves me to think that we may see the return of some familiar faces. Seen here and here.
What do you guys and gals think? Possible, at all?
If any Elite still clings to the Covenant’s ideals which were ALL proven wrong and it’s leadership tried killing their own race, they are simply -Yoink- stupid.

The leader did die but that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re all gone.
Although… I’m sure we would have seen them or heard about them again at some point is there were still any left…

Which is hard to believe since everything that happened during the Great Schism was transmitted to every fleet in the Covenant.
I thought is wasn’t so much that they believe in the Covenant, is that they just dislike humans. Some elites that is.
