By now we know that 343 isn’t adding any stupid Kinect support into Halo 4. I’m overjoyed, because Kinect is complete -Yoink-. I had Kinect, it was horrible. I got rid of it around 5 months ago, couldn’t stand it. I’m just very happy that 343 is putting any of that stupid gimmicky junk. Who here agrees?
I don’t have Kinect but if I did I would probably not use it that much.
Except if I wanted to play Skyrim, I can shout at a TV and it reacts!
agreed by far, spend more time on gameplay and tweaks, less on making you throw a grenade because you said grenade

Lets be hypothetical, lets say 343 did have an OPTIONAL kinect feature like in CEA? something really cool and interactive but you didnt have to use it at all to beat story or compete online? You cant say that the kinect would ruin halo because just like these “perks” everyone is complaining about, 343 has the ability to take a great thing and make it work for halo while still keeping it optional for the hardcore gamers who dont want to be bothered with it.

I don’t mind kinect however I don’t believe it is right for halo nor do i think 343 should invest resources into kinect integration. Rather, they need to focus on improving the core mechanics so they are deficient in problems. However, if they want to add kinect integration as dlc it wouldn’t hurt my feelings.

I didn’t see anything wrong with the kinect stuff in anniversary. Sure I didn’t use it much but it wasn’t hurting anyone by being there.

It was a feature that should have been available to everyone.
I have a Kinect, but once I used it for scanning in Anniversary, I didn’t touch it again.

Wrong 343 wouldnt just split its man power they would bring in microsoft studios developers to help craft the feature like they did for CEA. I highly doubt 343 has developers fluent with kinect. You should actually do some research instead of assuming like a fool lol.

Lmao like the other ignorant guy, you need to do some research. Microsoft wouldnt be advertising and investing so much into kinect unless it had a powerful fanbase. Its sold well into the millions and keeps going. I would even bet 500$ that the next xbox will have the next “kinect” built into it.

You do realize Kinect is just a fad right? Motion gaming was only a trick the gaming industry used to attract casuals, the problem is that when they get bored out of it, game companies have to turn to try selling it to gamers who hate it, which as you guessed doesn’t work well.
Sorry, but I won’t accept having a purple bar on my game case telling me that I can joyfully say 20 phrases out loud.
Kinect and Halo don’t mix. I personally only use kinect as a cheap mo-cap device.

If you didn’t have a kinect you weren’t missing much so how is it a big deal? I don’t think people didn’t play anniversary just because they couldn’t use the kinect features. It was just a little something cool if you had one.

I agree with Tsumiya. You’re very selfish and close-minded to think like that. Don’t assume EVERYONE doesn’t like the Kinect. I do, and I would troll and scare the crap out of my friends by saying “Grenade” and having them dance to my exploding orbs of doom.
Besides, even if there was Kinect support for Halo 4, no one’s forcing you to use it. So ignore it. I find it funny that a piece of hardware is -Yoink!- you off! XD
I rather liked the analyze features in Anniversary.
And it’s the little stuff like that that games sometimes do that keeps me from selling my dust collector known as “Kinect”.
