Amazon UK is probably the biggest UK game vendor now, so it’s nice to know that before the game has even released that Halo 4 has wiped the floor with previous popular game titles. I mean cmon, the best selling game of last year has been surpassed by a game that hasn’t even been released yet. Wut?
Also according to VGZ (i understand it’s inaccurate) Halo 4’s pre-orders jumped up 40,000 in the US after the release of FuD episode 1.
It’s probably fair to say that after the release of Dishonored Halo will move up to fourth spot, and fifa is selling less and less now seeing as it’s been released, AC3 will also move down once it’s released aswell. Regardless, Black ops 2 will come out on top, it’s the video game version of the iPhone, BUT the Halo 4 LE is currently outselling the Black ops 2 LE, so that’s a + right?
Halo 4 is actually beating Black Ops 2 in sales on Amazon.com I may be wrong but I don’t think the US version of Amazon is that popular for “Gamers” as it is in the UK but nevertheless Halo 4 is outselling a major game on Major website!

The problem with 343i is that they have a bad marketing team. CoD has been marketing and advertising BadOps 2 for a month now. When BO2 release some commercials in september their pre-orders jumped about 40k. We need to get halo 4 out there.
Black Ops 2 will not be on top. CoD’s fan base is slowly dying and as you said, Halo 4 has more sales than previous popular games and won multiple awards at E3. Halo 4 will be Game of the Year and the best game in the series. Look forward to it.

Sounds more like hope than fact, if the CoD fanbase was slowly dying, then the two most recent Call of Duty games wouldn’t be in the top 3 played games on LIVE.
Halo 4 will do well, no doubt, but Call of Duty is just the dominant franchise.

Marketing is a key part in business, Halo 4 is a <mark>Triple A title</mark>, if it does poorly in sales many will be disappointed and 343/Microsoft will be criticized for their poor marketing technique.
it’s very easy to understand, that Halo 4 Le is the only edition of a copy of halo 4, not encounting the halo 4 bundle, cause it’s a console. Blops 2 doesn’t offer that much than the Care package, wich people prefer that toy than a hard book.

You can admit that most Cod players do not know much about the halo universe other than a game is about red vs. blue spartans. They just don’t have the time and patience to know more about halo. I assume this becuase CoD is a very easy game to get that is straight foward and thats why people like it, you don’t need to spend months or years getting good at it. They want simple things and it’s not a bad thing but some people (us) like to get a lot more out of a video game francise.

Unfortunately: no.
It is true the general audience is getting fed up with CoD, is accepting less of the series and is generally more negative towards it. And yes, there is less hype than other years.
But if sales exeed the previous year, year after year, you can’t say it’s slowly dying.

It has more pre orders…that’s something else than actual sales.
CoD also have a huge amount of pre orders.
Winning multiple awards isn’t relevant as well. Mainstream gamers don’t really care for the industry, just for blockbuster games, so winning awards is irrelevant to them.

Huge, HUGE assumptions there.
There are a lot of big titles coming out this year that are more likely to win GOTY, based upon the fact they do more new things than H4 does.
And yes, H4 looks really promising. But you really can’t say it will beat CE/H2 at this point in time.
But sales don’t impact your experience playing, so it should all be irrelevant to any of us.

Yeah which doesn’t make sense. I would rather have DLC and a 90 minute Halo film than pay more money for a crappy care package that would only sit on my shelf and collect dust. Blops 2’s LE is, in my personal opinion, a waste of money. The Halo 3 Legendary Edition was worth the money because it was awesome. Replica Master Chief helmet and two discs with behind the scenes footage and all of that stuff.
I’m happy that it has done such a thing, there’s also still people who need to preorder (like me :D), so those numbers are just going to get higher and higher!
I see what you mean but im not sure about the other games this year. Resident Evil 6 looked promising and it wasn’t. Why I think people still buy cod is because they think it might be a different expierence, then it’s not. I don’t know. I don’t play cod very much so I don’t understand the hype about it.

The list is of every single xbox 360 game and is the list of the best sellers. The game that has sold the most in the history of the website is currently Fifa 13, if you go back a page you can see MW3, Skyrim and Halo Reach. Halo 4 has already outsold them before the game has even released
