Who do you think will be the characters other than chief?
I hope its not just 3 other chiefs…
If is not that then I am happy whatever way they decide to go with it.
I wouldn’t mind if players 2, 3,and 4 could use their Spartan IV that way it gives variety.
I feel like who we play as would have to change during the story. If we do run into Spartan IV’s then we can play as them…but what about the first level where chief has been alone in space for 4 years… lol Unless they say a spartan IV ship found him…and then the covenant attacked! but depending on the story, we should play characters that make sense to that level is what im saying
Why not just classic halo style, where there is another badass spartan warrior right next the the first one but no one seems to notice him?lol But they will probably take after halo 3 and let the other 3 players play as unique halo characters, maybe spartan IVs. But that is one of the things they don’t really need to make sense with the halo story; Most likely the other 3 players will disappear for cut-scenes.
I agree with all of you! own player character, Changing as the story goes on and the halo 3 style.
Personally I would like to see players 2,3 and 4 change as the story goes further. That way they will be in cut scenes.

It would be a lot of work to make separate cut-scenes for 2,3, and 4 player co-op and develop those characters as well. It is possible but that it would make it unclear how the events played out following Halo 3. There would be 4 parallel stories, one where master chief goes it alone, another where he has a partner, and so on for 3 and 4 players.
