When we all first played Halo Reach, one of the first main differences that we noticed was Reach’s grenade throwing animation and how it was so much more awkward compared to Halo 3’s grenade throwing animation. I found it much easier to place my grenades in the exact location I wanted in Halo 3 when compared to Reach, which always felt kind of off and random. To anyone that has played Halo 4, is the grenade throwing more like Reach or Halo 2/3?
Just be glad we’re not getting the ODST animations. I love that game, but yikes was throwing grenades goofy.
honestly the only nade related issue ive had with any halo game was the delay in cea with the voice comands

To be honest, are you really surprised? It was a cool feature nonetheless. I have not played halo 4 sadly but I have yet to see or hear anything bad about H4
I agree. Sticking people was a bit more difficult in Reach, and far more frustrating.

No -Yoink-. That pissed me off a lot.

Obviously, the Rookie didn’t play pitcher in his high school baseball team.

Yeah, sticking is very awkward in reach, probably why most people only seem to stick point blank…
I still find frags worse though, I just finished a halo 3 session and honestly, my grenades o exactly where I want them even when I only aim for a split second… As opposed to reach where I have to spend more time aiming
One other thing is in halo 3, the grenades could bounce off of ANY surface and explode, reach the grenades for the most part have to be bounced off the ground…
I’d be thrilled if they fixed that and the throwing
I liked Reach’s better. It was much easier for me to get a grenade into the location I wanted. And it seemed, by far, the most realistic throw of them all.

Personally I found it a lot easier in Reach.
Halo4 grenade physics appear to share similarities with both reach and 3. But a bit more like 3.

I haven’t played 4, but I thought Reach’s grenade throwing animations were better than the older ones.
The animations don’t affect how the grenade throws…if that’s your problem then just ignore the hand and get used to the distance and arch of the grenade throw.

Next time you play CEA, find some grenades, and say “lightningbolt”. Don’t ask why, just do it.
I didn’t appreciate the weak throw distance of grenades in Reach
