Halo 4 GOTY and DLC

Ever since I’ve been spending my money on map packs throughout my years of Halo, I’ve enjoyed the maps in matchmaking to their fullest extent, making them well worth my money. However, I have yet to experience this in Halo 4.

Halo 4 easily has the worst maps in the franchise, unnecessary clutter comes in piles, gameplay takes a back seat to breath-taking aesthetic backgrounds, cramped play spaces and open planes ruin combat, and every map is flawed in one way or another. But Halo 4’s DLC really makes the game shine, Monolith and Skyline are among my favorite Halo maps ever, Perdition and Daybreak play smoothly and competitively, and don’t even get me started on how great Forge Island is…

But Halo 4’s outstanding DLC is a privilege that can rarely be enjoyed in matchmaking. Among the best maps in the game are only available for a few weeks after being cycled and rotated between playlists that come and go. I can’t even remember the last time I got to play on Monolith, and wasn’t there something called “Community Forge Island” in the distant past?

However, 343i recently announced the Halo 4 Game of the Year Edition (though many people were upset about it). As we are aware, Halo 4 GOTY offers all Map Packs for the price of 50 dollars. Since the Halo 4 GOTY Edition offers customers the complete Halo 4 DLC Experience, do you think we’ll finally start seeing DLC maps make their way towards the map rotation?
