Halo 4 Glimpse at the Super Bowl?

I don’t know this for sure and i don’t want to get anyones hopes up. It’s kinda hard not to believe to show something by now. We should have had info a long time ago. But there might be something at the super bowl. Do not get your hopes up!

The flaw: Well i was doing some research on super bowl ads when i found that there are currently thirteen brands signed up for a super bowl ad that we know of. Those brands include Bridgestone, Bud Light, Budweiser, Cadillac, CareerBuilder, Cars.com, Chevrolet, Coca-Cola, Doritos, E*Trade, Go Daddy, Hyundai, M&M’s, Pepsi-Cola, Toyota and Volkswagen. They will be joined by movie studios that advertise regularly, including Walt Disney, Paramount and Universal.

The plus side: When i was looking at sponsors i came across Kinect sponsoring the super bowl. So that means Microsoft? But they weren’t listed? Kinda over threw me!

But still searching for evidence to flaw or not flaw the super bowl ad for Halo 4. Input or research would be nice!

Super bowl ad listings

I really, really, REALLY hope so. That Ancilla thread really got my hopes up, and the fact that Frankie said we’d be getting information early next year. It all makes sense.

Doesn’t make sense seeing how they would have told us by now if they were going to show something during the super bowl. Seeing how it cost millions of dollars just for ads that last seconds i would assume they would tell people about it; If they wanted people to see it and not waste a colossal amount of money.

Why would they tell us? 343 shouldn’t inform us on upcoming trailers. It would ruin the surprise.

This would be the most epic way to showcase the game. It would reach the largest amount of viewers and would generate a huge buzz. I am crossing my fingers for a 1 min long game play trailer, and for the Pats to get revenge.

For those of you that are undoubtly going to say, “this will not happen” or “I don’t want a Halo 4 Superbowl commercial” you make me laugh.

And the fact that about 50 million people will see it is even better.

Highly unlikely. Especially with the superbowl so close, we probably would have heard something by now

That Ancilla 049 thing was fake. Frankie has pretty much denied any chance of any kind of ARG for Halo 4 and beyond.

And what Frankie said is we’ll get more info before E3. That could mean anything at any time.

You make me laugh because you have no idea what you are talking about.

By evident of this website majority of Halo fans are young. That being said, most children are not interested in something like the super bowl.

Bungie told everybody when they were showing a trailer at the super bowl for the reasons i stated above. Explain to me the logic of them informing us of a new trailer would spoil anything? By that logic movies shouldn’t advertise themselves and should just be put into movie theaters so nothing gets ruined.

It’s possible, but don’t get your hopes too high, we don’t want another VGA incident.

Even though trailers can ruin the best parts of movies. :stuck_out_tongue:

What day, time and time-zone is the Superbowl on?

You know, even if there was a Super Bowl ad, I just wouldn’t have the time or patience to watch it. So I’ll be catching any reveals online. That’s just like when Bungie released a CGI Halo 3 trailer on ESPN, who watches that?! Anyway, neither my wife nor myself are sports fans, so I’ll happily wait online if anything is born from this.

/implying that even a considerable fraction of those people have xbox’s, then implying that they love halo, then implying they aren’t hating on 343 and are looking forward to halo 4.

> I am crossing my fingers for a 1 min long game play trailer,

Furthermore that commercial would cost 7 million dollars.

Microsoft is stupid sometimes but they aren’t dumb, which they would be if they didn’t tell people to watch the superbowl to see a trailer they paid that much money for.

@Deva Path, I would just rather go through wondering if a trailer would be revealed during an event that is enjoyable to watch, and then, when all hope is seemingly lost, that beautiful Halo theme would play and I’d see Master Chief again. Maybe it’s just a personal thing. I don’t know.

Frankie already confirmed there will be no Halo ad during the superbowl.
Here is one of the many posts he responded to confirming no ad:

You can look at the thread yourself to see the others.

Why not you might ask?
Because it is simply not the right venue.
Yes lots of people watch it, but the game is still ~7-11 months away.
It isn’t time to spend lots of money advertising to the general public.

Um They are overdue in the marketing Aspect. They are not informing people about their product, the last thing they need to do is what 5 months before the game comes out and star randomly popping out babies.

That’s personal and highly illogical

Sorry it would be really cool but they prolly are not going to shell out 7 million dollars for a game that doesn’t have a release date yet. Still if they do props to them!

You know, Deva Path, you are a very negative person, and you seem to shoot down any idea you don’t agree with. This is an online forum where we discuss our ideas and speculate about a game that we are anticipating. You don’t have to come in and comment negatively on everybody’s post to try to make you appear as the most intelligent being in the universe.

> You know, Deva Path, you are a very negative person, and you seem to shoot down any idea you don’t agree with.

Correction, i shoot down everything that makes no sense which is majority of this forum.

Unless you can explain to me why they would spend millions of dollars for an ad and then not tell people about it you are just supporting my stance.

> Um They are overdue in the marketing Aspect. They are not informing people about their product, the last thing they need to do is what 5 months before the game comes out and star randomly popping out babies.

No they are not at all.
Games NEVER ADVERTISE until a a few months before the game is released.

We live in a world where information can travel to people within minutes of it breaking.
They do not need to advertise right now. They are not behind. They are just not wasting money.

Releasing information is a way of building up hype.
Hype causes fans to advertise the product for them, for free.
This game already has a huge amount of hype built up from the announcement.

Expect when we do get info however, that it will be mindblowing.
