Halo 4 General Discussion And Trailer Anticipation

> Halo 4 didn’t win most anticipated this year, but I’m willing to bet a decent amount of money that it will when GOTY next year.

You’re on. How about six million Zimbabwe Dollars?

guys you gotta be Yoinking! what halo fan wouldnt be hyped about the return of the chief after all these years?

I dint like the results of the VGA with modern warfare 3 winnig best shooter and halo losing to ME3 ARE YOU FREACKING KIDDING ME WORLD!?!?. Dont get me wrong i enjoy playing the call of duty games and ive bought all of the games since call of duty 4, but battlefield 3 should have one by a mile.

I think it is down to a question of content/info and release date. If people knew more about H4 then they would vote for it. People know far more about ME3 and therefore, have more reason to be excited. Also, don’t sound so surprised as ME3 looks like a proper fantastic game.

The reason is this:

It didn’t get much of a push.

In the old days everyone was on Bungie.net, so pretty much all Halo fans knew about the VGA awards and would vote for Halo. At the moment, the community is split, some are here on 343’s forums, some are on Bungie.net, some just have stopped going on the forums. Couple that with 343 not really advertising the fact that they wanted votes meant that I think a lot of people forgot about (or didn’t know about) the voting.

Look fanboys and fangirls, it’s not a surprise Halo 4 didn’t get most anticipated. It had nothing to be anticipated about. Right now, there are better games out with actual information that generates excitement, Halo 4 is just not one of them.

Precisement.

I was actually pretty disappointed by the announcement trailer. It showed us, more or less, things that we already knew. Halo 2 and Halo 3 were announced with some flashy new visuals and environments and events. Halo 4’s trailer was “Chief is drifting towards an unknown planet,” which we got from Halo 3’s legendary ending.

It’s not that it isn’t hyped it’s just we haven’t seen anything, Microsoft is kepping it under near complete wraps there was one info leak, the teaser and some concept art, but thats nothing the reason Halo: Reach was so hypedis because Bungie “leaked” information and they kept feeding us with interviews and gameplay and all of the other stuff. They had the whole gaming world pumped a year before the game was even released. Until Microsoft releases information and starts pumping out details at big events (PAX, E3, the VGA’s, etc.). Until Microsoft learns that to keep the crowd they have to release details the game will completely underhyped. This game is probably the biggest release in gaming history for the greatest series since the dawn of gaming. Yes, I’m a little bit of a fanboy.

With out a trailer at the VGA’s, there is no major hype for halo 4, and most people may even forget about it. So please, do something to build more hype.

How about no. In the entertainment (or any) industry, you don’t start hype a product until it is near release. Halo 3’s Advertisement campaign begin in July of 2007, but the major advertisements weren’t seen until a few weeks before.

If 343 were to start hyping us up now, it would drag out what is already a year long wait for the game.

This is the calm before the very violent storm.

343 knows the people power of the Halo community. As soon as a trailer is released the news will spread like -Yoink!- in Africa, really fast. But i am sure 343 will advertise Halo 4 heaps.

They are just waiting for the time to strike… generating hype now gets them nowhere.

lets just assume it would be shown during E3 or PAX12/HaloFest

Im bored waiting for just a trailer

Yeh. Im disappointed, they said there would be noone, like they denied CE, so i tought they would show us something. It’s now 4 years since a real halo game was released, and I think i have waited long enough … Today i put my halo 3 down for Skyrim.

this. Just have patience, I’m sure a trailer or vidoc will be out once everything’s ready.

Out of curiosity, did you notice how many people started talking about Halo 4 again because nothing was shown at the VGAs?

Don’t worry, no one will forget this game. And when info hits, it will certainly leave a mark.

I agree with you! :stuck_out_tongue:

Can’t anticipate a game where only rumors and concept art have been revealed. Blind fanboyism is dulled after a flop in the series, as well.

Sure you can. I’m eagerly anticipating this game based on the limited information that we have.
