Well consider the fact that Mass Effect 3 actually has information on it. It’s incredibly impressive Halo 4 was nominated, let alone got second place (last I heard).
I think even if Halo 4 had won most anticipated game… they would have shown the old trailer that all know.
So don’t be sad. @ all who are still sad about it.

I, along with many others don’t anticipate it much. We’re not hyped because we haven’t seen anything. Scratch that, we haven’t seen anything good. You don’t just give us a teaser and some concept art and say “People are gonna be so hyped for this” it doesn’t work that way.

Halo 4 may be the better game (debatable) but there was no way it could have won.
Why?
The lack of info (understandable) meant that the hype for the game is minimal and so it cannot win due to a lack of info about what the game is about.

It’s only because of how stupid the Halo 4 trailer was, it gave no information other than them being at Sigma 7, which we already knew from Halo 3.

Also: it’s simple as this.
Mass Effect 3 wins because it’s only 2-3 months away, people have seen it, and the hypemachine is starting to run overtime.
Halo 4 loses because it’s about a year away, nobody has seen anything of it, and 343i is yet to start hyping (which they should do right away).

Actually: no. ME3 might be multiplatform but combined sales (and therefore “popularity”) of ME2 doesn’t even get to what a Halo game does on one console. Almost nobody bought ME2 on PS3, and I doubt ME3 will do much better as it’s not really a series to jump into at the end and people know that.
ME3 simply won because it’s “around the corner”, and Halo 4 isn’t.
Why should it be most anticipated ?? Why should we anticipate a game we know nothing about ??
I was just wondering what they would have shown us if Halo 4 won the Most Anticipated Game. What would we have seen? Chief on the shield-world? The new enemy? The possibilities are endless, and I think that 343 should release the trailer that was meant to be shown at the VGA sometime soon. If they don’t, fear not. We still have E3 where I’m certain they will blow our minds.

Because there never was a trailer to begin with. Or what I have heard, a rather unfinished trailer that would never have made it to VGA.
And we don’t need to wait until E3, we’ll prbobably get more information in the late winter if not earlier.

Seeing how we’ve gone like half a year without any real new info i’m expecting some kind of new Halo 4 info before the end of the year just as a little gift for the community.
I hope we at least get something before the new year.

Halo 4 didn’t win most anticipated this year, but I’m willing to bet a decent amount of money that it will when GOTY next year.
