I thought instead of creating a new thread I would improve on this one and recycle. I have decided to make this a tread for general Halo 4 discussion and other related topics such as trailers and new information.

To be honest it’s really anyone’s guess, but we have CES & GDC coming soon so possibly then, However this is not confirmed, lets not have a repeat of the VGA’s.
Computer Entertainment Expo - CES (January 10th - 13th)
Games Developer Conference - GDC (March 7th - 9th)
A plea for a better community!
One thing that is special about the Halo community is that everyone has their own views and wants them to be heard. I have noticed several ill traits that are rapidly spreading across the fourms and we need to prevent them spreading further.
Praising 343 as gods and taking everything they say as correct and the truth and generally sucking upto them,
The developers are normal people, treat them as such, It’s okay to express your own opinions and concerns to them. Like us they also make mistakes they are not always right and by taking everything they say as godly and correct will cause them to get a limited view of peoples opinions, This is what happened with Bungie after the Reach Beta, We can all see the consequences of this. I cannot emphasize how important this is. Stop being childish and sucking up, Express your thoughts, you know who you are. and point out those who do this.
Over hype is bad, but be excited.
Lets just be reasonable, Don’t overhype, Be excited, and don’t rant that we have not got something we were expecting. We are not entitled to anything.
Speaking without education
If you don’t know the full details of something, such as complaining that Halo 4 uses a modified Reach engine and that will make the game exactly like Reach, (FYI No It Won’t) Haven’t actually seen one of these threads for a while.
The “It’s 343’s Game” clause
343 are building the game for us, we are the clients the people who but the game, they are employed to do so by Microsoft, and Microsoft are owned by shareholders, 343 are building this game for us, themselves and Microsoft and its share holders. Period.
If you agree with this please say so. by making a better community things will flow smoother, there will be less disappointment and 343 will receive better feedback.

Let’s congratulate Mass Effect on winning the Most Anticipated Game of the Year, We put up a hell of a fight thank you everyone for voting. There’s always next time, and if Halo 4 is what we expect then we’ll win that for sure.

Hmmmm…well given the fact I am deliberatly ignoring anything ME3 related (so that my experience will not be ruined by knowing exactly who will be in my team, where I will go, who I will fight and what the outline of the story is…just like happened with ME2 which basically got spoiled entirely before it was released) I’m not hyped for that one (note: I am a ME fan and will buy it day 1)…so yes: I voted Halo 4.
Sorry, I love Halo to death but I’m about to piss my pants in anticipation over Mass effect 3. Bioshock is trash and Diablo 3 will be a dumbed down, prettied up version of Diablo 2. I’ll just stick with D2.
ODST was never showcased at the VGAs
ODST route was TGS 08 and E3 2009.
And reach got a teaser at e3 2009 and that “fake” in engine trailer at VGA 2009.
Halo 4 SHOULD win, I’ll be a bit surprised if it doesn’t win considering how strong Halo’s core fanbase is. Still looks like it could be a tight race.
Voted for Halo 4, obviously. I’m anticipating this game so bad that not even a year from release with little to no info, I had a dream about the first mission in the campaign lol. That’s how much I’m dying for Halo 4 to come out.
