These are suggesstions for Halo 4.
Suggesstion 1:
Invasion - Intel Hunt
This gametype is refered to gathering of Intel (a chip that is put into your helm or whatever)during a match. The Elites are reputed to take the intel from the Human base while the Humans are supposed to gather the Intel from the Elite base.
This resembles the gametype Capture The Flag, but this is more complex. Once the Intel is grabbed and taken to the Team’s base, weapon drop will initiative in both teams. After that, hold your position for a couple of minutes for the dropship to emerge. The dropship will be quite far from the respawning points, so it’s not just to spawn and then run towards it. It’d be nice if the dropship randomly showed up in certain places for that team.
The Dropship will be dismissed along with the players. Each Player who hopped into the dropship (Pelican/Phantom or whatever) receives 1 point from the team.
This way, the amount of players hopped onto the dropship will be crucial. The Intel that probably won’t be seen (wielded in your helmet or whatever) can not be returned unless you walk all the way back to your base to put it back. The disadvantages about wielding the Intel, is an arrow visible for anyone, to be able to spot the Intel carrier, so you better put it back in you base unless you do want to be spotted!
Suggesstion 2:
Slayer - Juggernaut Defender
5 VS 5 (Team Slayer)
1 of each team will be given 2.5x shield and the main task will be to spot which of the 5 players in the team is the Shielded Player (Juggernaut). 1 point will be given each kill of the Juggernaut. The Juggernaut will be visible for his own allies. Unfortunately this Juggernaunt will not be given big weapons, he’ll have the same weapons as his own allies and wield whatever his allies can wield.
Thanks for reading, and don’t forget to support me or ‘‘thank’’ me if you liked my ideas!
Why have you posted this again?
> Why have you posted this again?
I was stupid enought not to know how to delete the previous one… ‘’ Halo 3 suggesstions’’ draws the wrong impressions…
Invasion sucks…I’m hoping it doesn’t even return. The second gametype sounds OK.
> As for the first one, would people jump onto the dropship if it meant they had to wait in it? If I’m reading this right, you’re suggesting that people ‘hop onto the dropship’ until such a time when the whole team arrives to ‘dismiss’ the dropship. Correct me if I’m wrong.
>
> The second one’s interesting. So you’re suggesting that you start off killing enemies at random, until you find an enemy that still has shields after they’ve taken more than 1x shield worth of damage. If that’s the case, I’d recommend giving everyone else (on both teams) 0.5x shields so the gameplay when defending the Juggernaut moves quicker.(assuming he’s hanging back letting his team do the work). Then you have a Juggernaut that is too strong - so he’d need reduced health behind his stronger shields.
If you like my idea/s, please fill the poll
and probably any other way to support my idea so the Matchmaking developers would have a look at it (possibly, I don’t know…)
Regarding the Invasion, people have a couple of seconds to hop into the dropship once it appears. When it starts lifting it’s too late to do anything so 2 seconds after lifting, the team has scored.
And concerning the Defenders, well sure, but I wouldn’t give the Juggernaut too much speed, in case it gets too obvious.

HERETIC!

Invasion does not suck. It is one of the most populated playlists in the whole of Reach and has a nice variety of non-boring objectives so that you don’t get bored. Probably my favourite gametype since Team Slayer.
OT: I think there should be a gametype where there’s a UNSC base/Covenant base and the other team has there dropship wait for them while the other team try to defend they data on their computers. Then offending team have to upload the data onto their systems and when they’ve done this in two different computers in the base, then they have to plant the bomb in their base. The defending team just has to defend and then when the round is over, they switch around just like normal invasion.

Not bad either

It’s noteworthy that some of Reach’s top tier of players play Invasion pretty exclusively.
I’ve got some:
- Multi-team CTF
Score 2 points for a flag capture and -1 points for having your flag captured.
- FFA SWAT
Pretty self-explanatory.

What do you think about my ideas?
I really want you people to comment and vote for what you think of these ideas. Hopefully we will go somewhere with this! Wouldn’t you guys like to contribute and have a finger with in the future of Halo Matchmaking? Comeone people! Take a part in the future of Halo Matchmaking and make your voices heard! I know I want to make my voice heard, now make your voices heard and vote!
How was the current Matchmaking made? How did really these gametypes come true? They were ideas of fans that really wanted that to happen.
So if you really like these ideas, make it come true!
To OP, your first idea is probably nowhere near to becoming a reality because 343 stated that Elites will not return in multiplayer
Sweet ideas you got there bro! Keep spitting out! The force is strong with you, Good-One.
> To OP, your first idea is probably nowhere near to becoming a reality because 343 stated that Elites will not return in multiplayer
If not Elites, then UNSC/spartans soldiers against eachother.
I like the second idea, but I would also like to see the juggernaut move slower while getting extra points for kills in comparison to his non-juggernaut allies. Also, I might recommend giving him strong but close range weapons like the shotgun and the SAW so he can’t sit in the back and rifle people to death.
Edit: @Below, wow. I am an idiot. Almost always check for necros and I didn’t even think to check yet on these boards.

Please don’t Necropost.

That’d be OverPowered as the majority of the opposite players would try to come up close. The Also, if the Jauggernaut had something unlike his allies, it’d be too obvious to know who the Jauggernaut is. The intresting thing with this gametype is that, nobody scores 1 point, unless they kill the opposite team’s Jauggernaut…
Either: there will be 1 round or 2 rounds. If 1 round, then there’ll be 1 Jauggernaut in each team, if 2 rounds - there can be only 1 scoring team, as the attackers and defenders switches after first round.
I find 2 rounds better since I figure it’d be difficult to attack and defend at the same time. Also… The point with this gametype is cooperation, if one team could both defend and attack the Jauggernaut, then I figure the team, recklessly would charge in to find the Jauggernaut by themselves.
