Let’s face it. If Halo 1 was recreated without aim assist of any kind, it would be the most skill-based Halo title. Halo 4 should begin with gameplay exactly like that except the following changes should be made:
-Hijacking introduced
-Destructible vehicles introduced
-Dual-wielding for the plasma rifle and needler
-POSSIBLY add in equipment much like the Power Drain, Flare, Regenerator and Grav Lift. No armor abilities except for possible Invasion gametypes or custom games.
-Magnum/rifle will act just like the Halo 1 magnum except the range of it will be the exact range of the magnum in Halo Reach.
-Hitscan on AR, magnum/rifle, sniper and shotgun
-Slightly reduce range of shotgun and make it 6 shots per magazine
-Sword introduced with not-too-far lunge distance
-Add in other weapons that help ENHANCE sandbox, not make other weapons obsolete
-NO BLOOM (except for the random shot in automatic weapons and the automatic feature of the magnum)

I have to agree with this. Something that is REMINSCENT of the map but new. Sort of like a “Valhalla” of Halo 4 (but not that map).

Didn’t see that. Still, less aim assist =/= skillful gameplay. The less aim assist there is, the more it’s like you’re trying to shoot teammates. It doesn’t make for skillful gameplay, it make for frustrating gameplay, and frustration in general is ultimately what drove fans away from Reach’s multiplayer.

I see. Maybe MINIMAL aim assist? Like 25% of what it is in Halo 1?
