Halo 4 Game Play Ending.

DID YOU all most cry on the Halo 4 Story line ending?
HOW do you feel?

I come near, I feel very strongly Towards the game, due to playing Halo 1 2 & 3 since a kid daily before going to school with Friends, and all other xbox halo
games after Work years later.

But I didn’t think it end like that on Halo 4.

I loved the end , but felt sad because Cortana, it was epic.

I didn’t cry, but there were feels.

I didn’t cry to, because I kind of knew Cortana was going to die.

But what I didn’t like they shown Master Chief’s eyes/a bit of his face!

The music was sad, but I couldn’t feel sad. Cortana’s demise was telegraphed years ago.

I haven’t fully absorbed Cortana’s apparent death, I know she will come back. Also giving us that teaser at Master Chief’s eyes was very rewarding for the hell that was legendary prometheans

No, didn’t cry, didn’t feel a thing. The only motion that went through my head was.

“What???”

Personally I don’t think they portrayed Cortana’s suffering enough, should have been way more of it, and the interaction between the Chief and Her in those cases should have been emotional.

Ending?

No, but I did feel awesome to see the legendary ending.

During the game?

Hell yeah, Chief was going into an emotional breakdown because of everything happening to him and Cortana.

I thought it was meh. Mainly because it was very predictable, but also because of the lame quick-time event.

I cried when Never Forget began playing, other than that I was alright.
It’s kind of sad to see how Master Chief was coping with it all though.

^Yeah! I’ve always wanted to see the Master Chief’s face.

I also agree with the Music on the ending, It made a really strong feeling!

It was kinda predictable, I thought they be able to fix in time however.

if the writing was better and the plot too… I may have… but no, no i didn’t

Cried? no.
laughed? No.
went trough some weird emotional feelings? Not really.

I just clapped. i clapped for like 3 minutes after the credits had finished.

I just sitted there. Infront of the television. Next to my Coca-Cola bottle and a bowl full of chips.

I just clapped and cheered.
First time in my life i clapped. To a -Yoink!- video game.

I jumped out of my chair and yelled, “Really! YES! YES! They did it! They killed Cortana! That almost makes up for the rest of it.”

And let me tell you, thank heaven she’s gone. She’s had it coming since Halo 2. Needed it in halo 3 but only got it in halo 4.

Now if only we could kill of Master Chief… Then we’d be getting somewhere.

Really?

With respect, I have to disagree. I thoroughly enjoy the character of Cortana and feel like 343 robbed us of one of the two most iconic characters in the franchise. Surely with Cortana being created from a fresh cloned mind of Halsey she could have somehow been saved? I’m still holding out hope that she didn’t actually “die.”

My thought is that if she were somehow able to all of the sudden manifest herself as hardlight to be able to “touch” Chief, then it’s possible she was able to save herself in some way. She states to Chief that “most of me is down there.” That doesn’t mean dead. And by “down there,” does she mean in the debris of the Didact’s ship? Or down on Earth? Could be she infiltrated UNSC servers to store herself for the time being. I still think it’s possible that she can come back.

As for Chief being killed off? Whoah there. He better live at least until Halo 6. And honestly, after all this time, I’d be just a bit POed if he were just killed off in some lame fashion. I’d actually prefer he live. In fact as corny/clichéd as it may sound, I’d like to see Cortana come back and Chief and her would ride off into the virtual sunset. Effectively “retiring” the characters but not killing them off.

Just as with my massive amount of time vested in Mass Effect and them killing off Commander Shepard, of which I was HIGHLY POed, I’d feel the same towards 343 if they kill off Chief. Already bad enough they did it to Cortana (hopefully not for good). We long time fans have countless hours into this franchise and playing as Master Chief to just have him be killed.

For all that he/we have been through. All that he’s survived, there really isn’t any death/killing of Master Chief that would be justified to me, IMO.

I sat there in a completely stunned silence for a good 5 or 10 minutes before I did anything, just letting what I’d seen sink in. I wrote up an analysis (only recently posted it) and settled on the notion that Halo 4’s last 10/15 minutes showcased themost amount of depth the games have ever given us.

I Really agree with HaloFanForLife1. It Won’t be "to me halo5
with out Master Chief and Cortana, But more of another Halo Game.

I also hope they Return Cortana and keep them Going, like how
HaloFanForLife1 said (to they ride off into the virtual sunset. Effectively “retiring” but stay to at least until Halo 6.)

I was more upset about the Didact losing so easily, I expected Cortana to go in Halo 3

I didn’t cry, I sat there staring at the screen during the credits, pretty much emotionless then the epilogue came on which was cool. There were feels for Chief though
