So, from the looks of it, Halo 4’s Forge allows you to take a picture of your map, and when you go into Customs to play it, that picture appears. So now, every map can have its own picture instead of the same one picture.
In the video:
“This is Impact. This is one of 3 Forge maps.”
“This is a map we’ve built on Impact, called Relay, that will be shipping on the disc.”

Impact is like Forge World.
Relay is like Uncaged.
Uncaged’s preview picture was Forge World’s, but in Halo 4, it appears that will not be the case. Relay’s picture would’ve shown Impact’s picture instead, but it didn’t. It instead showed it’s own unique picture.
This was going to be put in Reach, but due to time restraints, it didn’t happen. This looks to be happening for Halo 4, and that’s awesome!
Considering Relay ships on disc, I wouldn’t be surprised that it got its own picture, it doesn’t flat out confirm custom images, but it is close.
To be honest, I don’t want custom images, I’d be going into custom games every day and seeing maps called ‘LOLXXXGIRLS’ with some very inappropriate images as the map image.

That’s highly unlikely. They listened to our feedback and responded, it was a very popular Forge request.

Well, that’s inevitable, but most proper maps will have proper pictures. I’m really glad it’s here. What’s the point of a picture if it’s the exact same picture every time, like in Halo Reach?

I’d rather 343i not cave and omit a much-desired feature because of what a few stupid people may or may not possibly do, which would only offend a small amount of people anyway.
