Can somebody tell me how to fix the Halo 4 Forge physics? If you’re wondering what I’m talking about, I’ll explain:
I will put something like a large packing crate on top of some fixed fusion coils, intending to make the crate drop when you blow up the coils. So I drop out of editor mode, get out a gun and shoot the coils, but what does the crate do? It just sits there in a fixed position and doesn’t do anything until I pick it up and drop it in editor mode.
Any help with this issue would be appreciated.
Assuming that you set the crate to “Normal” physics, that particular type of crate might be an immoveable – that is, an object incapable of movement outside of Forge.
Either that, or the game might not have “realized” that nothing is holding the crate up in the air. If a moveable object remains untouched for long enough, physics get turned off for it to save on processing power. Approaching, touching, or shooting an object affected by this bug will reactivate its physics and cause it to fall. (Bugged objects will also turn on their physics if they move of their own accord.)

Even then only some objects from secenery, weapons and vehicles will be able to move outside of Forge on Normal gravity. There is a trick to learn but first a list of working items:
- Container Large
- Crate Packing, Small
- Crate Small
- Crate Large (Only sometimes will this one work)
- All Pallets
- Camping Stools
- Folding Chairs
- Street Cones
- Barricade Large
- All weapons
- All Vehicles
So the trick to getting them to work is first give them a respawn time. Then asign Fixed gravity. Move the object a little above the coils so it isnt touching. Let go. Without grabbing it again turn it back to normal. Save and it will work.
Good Luck!
