i think that forge in halo 4 should be the coolest experience ever with alot of cool objects and maybe even bots and dead bodys to make your map look like its more of a warzone.
I agree. Everything from Reach with some more vehicles and different weapons.
I think they should concentrate more on Forge being a better map making tool rather than put in bots and scenery that doesn’t affect gameplay (to the extent of dead bodies that is, since it’s always good to have a certain amount of scenery like it was done in Halo Reach).
I would just like to see more forgable maps than just a single map. Also they should have Covenant, Forerunner, & UNSC objects or buildings/scenery. I love the idea of dead bodies, but they might not take lightly the idea of kids throwing around dead bodies on the map freely lol. Still another thing i would like to add is the option of 2 place trees. Just my addition 2 things 2 add.

I think dead bodies could be a cool idea for some scenery. You could make a static (unmovable) body, and dynamic bodies with ragdoll physics. Besides, if it’s an M game, the parents of the kids who play it should know there’s going to be mature content in the game.

The things from Reach = okay WITH different color/animation schemes so it isn’t all bland gray metal.
No to your weps and vehicles, we have more than enough to draw from.
I like your dead bodies idea, maybe we can even hang them up with spikes or something to make it look more brutal, put blood around them, if we put them in water then the water around them gets bloody. We should get them in all species. Maybe even set up destroyed vehicles.
I’d love to see scalable objects. For instance the rocks in Reach are okay. But if we had the opportunity to scale them up a few hundred percent or down to 25 percent imagine the possibilities? We could have huge hills/mountains and smaller rocks to use as cover without having to bury them in the ground or other objects to hide their true size.
Beyond scaleable object (not just rocks), I really want to see a FLAT map. Completely flat. It would be great on the map if we could also choose a surface feature. For instance, imagine being able to choose from the following:
Dirt
Grass
Snow covered
Tarmac (think parking lot or roads or airport. This would be great for bases
Forerunner
Covenant (I know H4 isn’t supposed to have covies, but what the heck.
Sand
WATER
While I’d love a terrain editor, if that is too much, then this much simpler flat map would be great. If anything make it flat with tall borders that the players can’t get out of. Those borders would match the terrain you chose. For instance:
Dirt = Cliff walls
Grass = Tall dense trees
Snow covered = snow covered cliffs
Tarmac (think parking lot or roads or airport. This would be great for bases high UNSC fortress walls
Forerunner = high fortress Forerunner walls
Covenant (I know H4 isn’t supposed to have covies, but what the heck. High fortress Covie walls
Sand = large steep sand dunes
WATER = hmm, this one would be the only one without a visible border, just more water. The barrier would be a soft kill zone.
Come to think about this, instead of just a plain square map, we could also have a circular one.
In fact as part of a map editor, why not the ability to choose the map size from a basic set of shapes and then choose how big the map will actually be from huge to big, to medium, to small.
Beyond all of this I’d love an all sky map as well as an all space map.
I think there should be zero gravity zones much like the kill boundary zones in halo reach except they would alter gravity. This would open up alot of interesting games and maybe even let us exploit the zero g thrusters on the armor as shown in the trailer
I have to agree with rm iron man and a few others i would love for that all to be in halo 4.
