Halo 4 forge glitch HORRIBLE!

There is a major glitch going on with forge right now. The glitch is corruption of files. I have a map that has been done for some time called Tavern. I play it often and am updating it slowly over time. Unfortunately another map I mad, called Rig, was corrupted. The name said Tavern version 2, and I thought it was the updated map, but of course not, because halo 4 servers are jacked, and it was actually rig. So I lost all the updates to that map. That issue is now fixed, and I got over it. I thought it was a one time thing.

I was wrong.

Now a map I spent two hours on earlier this day (with painful attention to detail and time I might add) has been corrupted. When I play this map (the name says it is the rigth name, in this case “facility”) it loads it as “Tavern Version 2” and it loads “Tavern Version 2”. I have lost all of the work on this map and have had to restart it, but now I have not nearly as much motivation as I need to. I think the glitch occurs when forging multiple maps around a general time. It is really frustrating and must be fixed, along with other nagging server issues, such as loadout resets and being forced to re-watch the silly introduction to multiplayer every few days. Please, 343, fix this nonsense.

The save glitch occurs on your hard drive as the result of a bug in the game. If I’m remembering year-old discussions properly, it can only occur if you use the “SAVE” menu option; the “SAVE AS NEW” menu option should be completely safe.

My advice would be to always “SAVE AS NEW”, never do a plain “SAVE”, and just delete old files as they pile up. You probably can’t fix the maps that have already been damaged, but this may help you prevent any more maps from being damaged.
