Dear, 343
I have been monitoring the Halo 4 news a lot lately, but have only seen a few minor mentions and 1 video about Halo 4’s forge mode. Being 13, and with the dream of one day, becoming a game designer (Hope to get a career in level design), I love spending time in Halo:Reach’s forge mode. I even went on to download a modded map that had 250 tin cups and 250 rock sea stacks, so I could make my own terrain on my forge maps. I have made many maps using forge, a great deal of them taking over 10 hours of building, and tweaking, over the course of a week. That is a lot of time spent making maps for use in custom games. Now I know you are busy, so in order to spare you guys at 343 the pain of reading for hours on end, I will get to the point, and try my hardest to stay on task, and tell you what I want to say.
I am a huge Halo fan, and spend hours on end playing Halo, and I am really excited for the release of Halo 4. I have seen every gameplay video, and yes, I still even have the Halo:Reach Forgeworld vidoc’s on my 360’s hard drive, but have noticed the huge lack of news about Halo 4’s forge. I know there is the video showing game play from forge and showing off some of the new aspects to it, but we haven’t really seen to much of the forge maps. Speaking on behalf of all the forgers out there, I think it is time for a bit more info about forge. Now I am not asking for you guys to give us every little detail (a little suspense and speculation doesn’t hurt), but at least a few screenshots of the maps designed for forging would be excellent.
I know the chances of you guys reading this are slim, but if you are I would like to thank you greatly. Not all companies in the industry of game design are so interactive with their fans. You guys at 343 are some of the best, and I am not saying that to be nice, I really mean it. I am looking forward to seeing what you have done with the Halo franchise in Halo 4, and can’t wait to see what you continue to do in the next games in the “Reclaimer saga”. Keep up the good work!

This is all very inspirational, but I believe discussing modded content is against the forum rules… which is rather silly, but whatever. I too am very excited for Halo 4’s Forge!

After careful consideration Ive deduced that 343 and bungie STAFF Have had no initial problems with the overlimited base maps…Simply because they are all over the place and have been out on thousands of downloads from each base map for over a year of the 2 and a half year old game…now that halo 4 is on the horizon i see no issues with those maps ever being bannable at all.
We might get to experience some Halo 4 forge at Pax don’t forget that’s on the way as well in a few weeks pretty much… Halo 4 forge does look interesting and i’m sure it will surpass reaches forge by far…

I’m actually very serious, should 343 drop a few Forge Screenshots I’d be more than happy to send them cake.

Bungie did a better job with the Forge Reveal for reach. Unveil at Comic Con, a day later a ViDoc for the people at Home. With 343? Hey youve got a mid to low quality stream, thats enough footage.

I know right! They are focusing to much on Spartan ops, multiplayer and “Inffinity”. We get hours of footage for those, and a low quality video showing some small new things they added. Lighting, magnet, duping, and trait zones. Trait zones are just an update to the custom power up really, and lighting is a simple graphic tweek. Dupe, i could care less about, and magnet is the only real important news we got, and its just an update to co-ordinates really.
