Halo 4 for PC!!!

I know 343 has a big contract with Microsoft, but for the best part PC gamers would enjoy Halo 4! It would increase sales by a far! Operateing on consoles was fun, but when you play on the PC it it a much cleaner experience! I believe many would buy the game if it was for PC. I doubt anyone important will respond to this, but if Halo was expanded to other platforms, it would become even more popular. And with 343 being a new company, it would increase sales. If anyone cares, please respond!

We have never expected Halo on the PC. But Halo 4 is new.

Halo: Combat Evolved was a major hit on the PC version,

just imagine what Halo 4 can be!

Its all on you Microsoft ( And 343 ) But for the best, expanding to the PC will open good doors. Please guys!

Not going to happen…

Halo pc is dead …

But if they did or do it would have to be different MM then people on xbox.

PC gaming Eliminates Balance!!

If I have a performance gaming machine, and someone else has a Old school 90’s Dell with just enough RAM and graphics card ability to operate the game. It will be balanced in my favor…

You cant upgrade the Graphics card in a Xbox or add RAM to help your performance…

I’ve thought about this too, It would be Awesome IMO. But that’s how they cater to a wider audience, by limiting and balancing the performance of the XBOX vs a 3000 dollar gaming machine.

Its gotta be fair for everyone.

Anyone disagree? Id like to see some input on this, I’m not really a PC gamer or too knowledgeable on the subject.

Inb4 Console vs PC Elitists.

Seriously though, everyone already knows the answer to this currently.

While I think a great deal of people would enjoy Halo 4 on PC, the fact of the matter is that right now, nothing is planned and chances are with Microsoft it probably never will.

Frank already said at HaloFest that they’re focusing primarily on console at the moment but wouldn’t rule it out for the future. Regardless, I personally doubt it will happen.

Get a 360 srsly.

Frankie said Halo 4 is confirmed for 360. Plus piracy.

Not going to happen, people buy an Xbox for Halo.
They want more people to buy Xboxs :stuck_out_tongue:

I would like it, but it isn’t going to happen.

Also, 360 is nowhere near as powerful as a PC, just sayin’.

LoL i think people know that already  But 343 has done some magic for halo4
But yeah Halo5 will be hopefully on the next Xbox.

The ratio to the amount of money they would lose to piracy vs. the amount of money they make by keeping it console is staggering. Also alot more of a risk to use a pirated copy on a flashed console.

It’s ultimately a business. And the money’s in consoles for these major titles. Can we let this argument finally die a noble death?

By that logic every PC game ever release is unbalanced towards the person with the higher end GPU.

No offense OP but you might want to be more concerned about Halo 3, ODST, and Reach on PC before thinking about Halo 4. Since Halo 2 was the last Halo game ported on PC…

Well sure, but as long as everyone meets the minimum system requirements every will have the same performance, assuming you turn down your graphics settings. (this is why pc games have far more graphics options than console games). If you’re using a 90’s Dell PC for modern gaming, you’re an idiot and you’ll be lucky if you can get past the start menu. Everything in a pc game past the minimum requirements is just visual. Slapping on more RAM once you’ve already passed the game’s maximum req, slapping in extra RAM wont make the game run faster than intended.

As for as the “consoles can’t upgrade” theory: you don’t think someone with a hundred inch projection screen and a high speed connection isn’t going to have and advantage over the guy with DSL and a tiny SDTV?

The only real reason NOT to port it to pc and include cross platform play is the keyboard and mouse interface, as well the lack of analog movement controls. It’s an age old argument that the mouse is vastly superior for aiming than an analog stick. It’s more precise, not limited by things such as camera speed etc. This gives PC gamers a VERY slight advantage.

But that reason is weak as hell. In reality 343 doesn’t have the time or (probably) the technical know how to put Halo 4 on PC.

I really doubt Halo 4 will come to the PC, Halo and Halo 2 came out for the PC 3 years after both of their releases and there was no Halo 3, ODST, or Reach PC.

They won’t make Halo 4 PC for a while, but I don’t see why they wouldn’t make Halo 3 or ODST. They have little or nothing to lose from making Halo 3 available to PC gamers.

PC games don’t sell. Unless they have Blizzard Entertainment printed on the box.

PC game sales have been slipping for a decade, porting a game to PC still costs money. Spending money on a product you know no one is going to buy is generally considered bad business.

Microsoft is too cheap to do such a thing. Even though it would revitilize the Halo PC modding community, and they could create a feature to create mods on the PC and then download it on the Xbox. Those are things of dreams, but I don’t think we’ll ever see such a wonderful thing happen to Halo.

Does any one happen to know the reason why every time I open up a “Halo 4 PC” thread, I feel like my happiness is being sucked out by every post that says “Halo PC is dead”, “Go buy an Xbox”, and “Not going to happen”.

Also, like SUPERCOVEN88 said, as long as your system meets the minimum system requirements, you’re good. But if you’re using a 90’s Dell computer, then I suggest you take that damn thing out to the middle of the desert and blow that PoS to hell, you should at lest replace your computer every few years if you want to play any new PC games.

And part of the reason why will most likely wont see another Halo game on the PC is because of people like you guys who reply to threads saying it’s not going to happen, or “go buy an Xbox”. Halo doesn’t need the Xbox to live, nor does the Xbox need Halo to make sells, there’s more things out for the Xbox than just Halo, not every one who buys an Xbox these days buys an Xbox because they want to play Halo. So if Microsoft really wants to make some money off of Halo, they’d be smart to release it on both the Xbox and Steam on the PC. But that’s most likely wont happen because of all of you -Yoink!- nay sayers.

Also, SUPERCOVEN88, PC games do sell even with out Blizzard’s name on the box, ever heard of Half Life, Gmod, Team Fortress 2, Portal, Crysis, Star Trek Online, and Star Wars the old republic? PC games do sell.

I don’t see why not…
