Are the flood no longer going to have antenna’? There aren’t any visible antenna’ on the infected SIVs. Some people might say that its just another minor thing, but antenna show people where the infection form is so we see the weak spot, and it looks cool. For multiplayer it could just be there for aesthetics.
I would think the reason for the Flood spartans to look more human than flood is because of the hitboxes, with the old version the hitboxes would be rather large.

Even adding a little more meat on one shoulder wouldn’t do that much, but I’m mainly just curious for 343’s plans on the antenna’.

This. Granted these flood forms only appear in Multiplayer so they would have to make the models easily identifiable for players so it’s balanced but I would assume that the Flood forms in maybe Halo 5 or 6’s campaign will resemble closely to previous models of Flood but have a newer look to them of course.
Maybe the Flood finally realized that a bunch of hyperactive tendrils waving around from a massive hole in some guys’ chest was a bit too much of an easy target.
Flood infection forms weren’t even mentioned in the Forerunner Saga. Perhaps these models are based on their more ancient forms, which involved simple exposure to Flood biomass and mutation of a person’s body while still keeping a recognizable form (albiet with more limbs/heads than should be necessary)
Infection is like zombies, scratches or bites infect you. The flood is a parasite that invades your body taking control over it. This is INFECTION flood mode so use your head. You get infected by getting clawed not a flood parasite, anything ring-a-bell? No need to thank me

I think he’s being sarcastic in the sense of those Flood combat forms in Infection are a sorry excuse for a Flood model. I would disagree however seeing as though I find them quite intimidating with their evil grins always starring you in the face.

Did I say there should be infection forms running around infecting players? No, I said the antenna or tendrils(whatever you want to call them) could be an aesthetic. As much as I want the game to be fun and awesome, I’d also like it to make sense, or for this matter just try to make sense with an aesthetic.
> Maybe the tendrils can’t poke through MJOLNIR armor?
Unless as some people suggested that they were infected through other means, the tendrils would come out right where the infection form settles, usually also being the area of where the infection form’s massive upper body sticks out causing the body to look like it has a massive shoulder, besides, the armor is ripped to hell almost everywhere anyway.
