HALO 4 FLIGHT - FEEDBACK THREAD

Multiplayer Feedback: when spriting and immediately after aiming, the sight of the weapon disappears for a few seconds. Was this also on the xbox version of Halo 4? After that, in multiplayer (FFA) this thing happened: I was killing people and the system not giving me notifications on the screen, nor who I was killing, no medals, nothing.

Been having this (idk what its called? clipping?) issue. If I restart from the previous checkpoint, I’ll still end up on the same issue.

On campaign, if you reach a checkpoint driving a heavily damaged vehicle and then die, the game will respawn you with a fully repaired vehicle instead

Seems good for me from what I have played.

At the moment I only have 4 suggestions.

  • when you rotate an object in forge the camera will snap to the middle of the object. this can be disorienting. Could the camera stay where you grabbed it like how it does before you rotate something? - light/shadow map generation is still done when entering player mode. could it be set to its own button or work like how it does in H5 where you have to hold the “player mode” button down? - the green screen object is really cool. But could it be set to the team color? for example, if we set it to blue we could use it for makeshift water in game. - new MCC features have been added to past halo games (such as skulls in H2 and Bottomless clip in H3). Would it be possible to do the same with H4 and make sprint a toggle that can be turned on and off?

When entering covenant towers in campaign, character becomes stuck this has happened everytime ive tried.

I have never really given feedback on a thread like, but I hope it works. The multiplayer is really smooth and the forge is amazing. One thing I want to suggest is a death counter in the career statistics section. Never really checked if it is there on the current MCC update, but on the insider flight I can only see a total deaths for spartan ops. Just like to know how I am performing, since I am not the best on PC to begin with. Something is wrong with the kill cam in that you see other bodies wandering around that should not be there; maybe because the camera does not remove the current player movements or it just takes a bit to load the spartans? Idk, but it looks weird. Overall, I have not found anything game breaking, so good job.

None of the weapon skins besides the ones previously available in Halo MCC actually show up whatsoever.

Gunplay is fairly smooth from what I can tell, matches play well so far. Forge has some issues when placing larger objects (notably that you tend to get pelted across the map for daring to want something that’s large), Halo 4 Forge also has that annoying bounce thing when trying to place Phased objects through terrain but I think that came with Halo 4 from the start.

I have the input-based matchmaking off but when searching in FFA the playlist specs say it is input restricted. However, upon messaging a fellow player I found out that he was indeed using KBM on PC.

They should update the known issues faster…

The game is fluid in all its ways, it was a pleasant experience, I have been waiting for this moment for years. but notice some errors:

  • Enemies do not escape danger, even in legendary mode.
  • The audio of the enemies, many speak after having fallen dead.
  • Dead enemies, weapons and items disappear from the stage.
  • Destroyed structures reappear when the camera is flipped.
    Finally I imagine that you can still polish the graphics to run on a high gamma pc.

If possible, I would appreciate an option to turn off HUD motion when moving the camera. It’s one of very few things that makes me motion sick in games so Halo 4 is very difficult for me to play compared to the rest of the games in the collection.

Yeah, sorry for the length haha. In a way, since there’s so much, it’s also really just a reference tool for me to come back to as I crank out all of these tickets in greater depth. Nothing personal. Hope you guys consider some of the suggestions I made for the coming future too. Cheers!

Hola, me inscribi al programa halo insider y aun no recibo la invitación para poder descargar la beta de halo 4, desearia si pudiesen ayudarme a adquirir la beta para poder probar el juego y si mi computador lo puede correr sin problema

It wont let me use mouse and keyboard on xbox. Doesnt give me an option to change input device even though I chose mouse and keyboard it forces me to use controller.

Campaign feedback:
A few of the cutscenes have a few issues, the one where you first meet the knights has one visibly teleporting up and down. The scene right after you see infinity about to crash followed by the didacts ship has chiefs armor with a noticeable checkerboard texture. On the mission Reclaimer, right after the mammoths gun gets disabled and you leave the area the map no longer loads terrain and just when you are intended to get off the mammoth, the mammoth itself disappears, and getting off results in immediate death. I took screenshots of the last one, and can share them if it would help. Can say that up until this mission and some cutscene graphical glithces, the gameplay itself seems to be perfectly functional.

Hello, I am a member of the halo 4 competitive community and wanted to, on behalf of myself and dozens of other players in the community, express both our happiness that this has been released on PC and looks even better then before, but also, unfortunately, our frustration with the ranked playlist 343 has chosen.

We have spent countless hours on your platform, enjoying the heck out of a game that others are quick to dismiss when it comes to it’s competitiveness. I have thrown 4v4 tournaments that have featured 8 and 10 teams with professional commentary and thousands of viewers on twitch. I threw a FFA tournament that had 34 players participate. All within the last year - 2020.

The community is still alive and we all are respectfully asking for the same thing. A playlist that features smaller maps and less players - a more conventional competitive format. 3v3, 4v4 or even 5v5.

Please. Even if you could provide a reason as to why you refuse to host a ranked playlist in a smaller format it would do wonders to settle our dismay. We are thankful you have at least implemented a ranked playlist back into the game, but please consider a playlist that could feature all maps, including skyline, simplex, onyx, etc, along with maps that aren’t packed with huge vehicles that remove, in my humble opinion, the competitiveness factor in the game.

Thank you for your hard work and dedication. Working in computer networking myself I know how much work is involved and how frustrating negative feedback can be. You have done a wonderful job thus far and I am truly excited to see the end product. Keep it up!
