Yes, hold sprint is a must for any game with sprinting. Hopefully they add this!
Since I am disappointed with the graphics options currently, here is my updated wishlist of graphics:
FPS Limit: 30, 50, 60, 75, 90, 120, 144, 165, 180, 200, 240, unlimited (Should be more than just multiples of 60. Lower FPS options will help with CPU)
Texture Quality: Very Low, Low, Normal, High, Very High (Why are there no texture quality settings? This will help the most with low end PCs since it will save on VRAM and will also make the games shine on higher end PCs)
Texture Filtering: Off, 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x (No more low, medium, and high. High is still very weak and forcing AF through drivers is still superior)
Anti-aliasing: FXAA Low, FXAA High, SMAA, MSAA 2x, 4x, 8x (MSAA if possible; An unspecified anti-aliasing method with a simple on and off toggle just does not cut it)
Level of Detail: Very Low, Low, Normal, High, Very High, Ultra (There is still a noticeable amount of pop in with the current high setting. Let us see a lot more detail than already possible! Plus, let LODs affect characters too!)
Shadow Quality: Off (wherever reasonable), Very Low, Low, Normal, High, Very High, Ultra (Shadow quality does not do much right now. Low just turns off character shadows, Normal is regular shadows, and high is slightly higher quality shadows. Off should disable all shadows where applicable, like dynamic shadows, very low could be very pixelated 256x256, low would be 512x512, normal is 1024x1024, high is 2048x2048, very high 4096x4096, and ultra 8192x8192)
Soft Shadows (where applicable, requires at least high shadows): Low, Medium, High
Shadow Distance (How far do shadows start appearing? Greyed out if Shadows are off): Very Low, Low, Normal, High, Very High, Ultra
If the Effects Quality option affects multiple effects at once, this should be changed to allow for separate options for each effect, like for example:
Depth of Field: On/Off
Bloom: On/Off
Motion Blur: On/Off
Particle Quality: Very Low, Low, Normal, High, Very High, Ultra
Film Grain (especially for ODST): On/Off
There might be more I missed
Lighting Quality is actually OK, maybe add in a Very High and maybe even an Ultra setting
Water Quality: Low, Medium, High, Very High (Should have more effect than what it currently does, where there’s zero difference between low, med, and high)
Bullet Decals: Off, Very Low, Low, Normal, High, Very High, Ultra (Client side option that affects how many bullet holes are on screen before despawning)
Corpse Limit (This is a helpful option like in Payday 2, a client side option that affects how many corpses stay in game before they begin to despawn): Off (As soon as an enemy dies they despawn), Small, Normal, Large, Insane
Foliage: On/Off (Grass toggle)
Ambient Occlusion (when applicable): Off, Low, Medium, High
Blood: On/Off (Apparently currently broken in flight, but a nice feature nonetheless)
Experimental settings:
60fps Cutscenes (in Halo CEA and 2 Classic): On/Off
Letterboxing in Cutscenes (Where applicable): On/Off
Restore CE Visuals (Experimental in case they are buggy): On/Off
Real-Time Reflections (Halo 3, is supported but not on by default; needs mods to enable; mostly just present on visors): Off/On
I’m expecting way too much I know lol, but I am very disappointed with the current options given to us. I really wanted to see how nice Halo looks cranked up at max (and even how low it can go), but so far the results have been underwhelming
The reticles, especially for the pistol are too big. We need an option to adjust them.
Matchmaking bricks my game. My preferred input is currently set to controller, but it’s input is being blocked by the game. Customs works fine with controller, but I can’t interact with menus or anything when in matchmade games. Because it’s locked to controller, I can’t open chat or even pause the game.
I understand the need for splitting inputs and locking players to inputs, but I can’t even open the menu with Escape or chat. Both of these functions should probably be enabled regardless of input
Aiming feels off. I’m playing H4 BTB on a regular basis since 2012, so I know what I’m talking about. H4 is my strong suit. Aiming from left to right is too slow. I can’t follow my ennemies’ heads fast enough, whether at a FOV of 78 or 120, whether at a sensitivity and an acceleration of 3, 4, or 5. It feels kinda blocked. Duels are weird that way. This way, I’m missing half of my shots with my carbine I’m very familiar with, which sucks.
Could any experienced (!) H4 player confirm this sluggishness, too?

Please add an option to swap sprint and armor ability (or just fully custom controller layouts).
Sprint is by far my most used armor ability in Reach, so I’ve developed muscle memory using sprint where the armor ability button is. This would make transitioning between the 2 games more comfortable. As is, I have to use controller firmware customization to swap them, & not everybody has access to that.
Armor customization is a bit fudged. Some of the armor variants are nested while others aren’t. Something to look into; probably a bad variable that’s triggering the nesting problem.

I think that they shouldn’t put crosshair when you r sprinting, cause thats the point, you have the benefit to run away from somewhere but you got to pay the price not having crosshair, other than that, i think this post is on point
Please can we an option to turn off the announcer on multiplayer? Rather annoying.
In FFA, screen doesnt show the kill sometime, also shot registration seems a bit off, and i dont know if i am tripping but, grenades seems a litter weaker
I started to play the Halo 4 flight, but I encountered a problem when the gamepad/keyboard/mouse settings cannot be changed. I encountered the same problem for when I did the Halo 3 flight, but not the Halo 3: ODST flight.
Halo 4’s multiplayer is SO smooth on PC with a few bugs (dissapearing reticle in ADS is really annoying). I really appreciate the added extra graphics options but I would really like to see options for “depth of field” and “motion blur.” One other thing, something feels very off about sprinting but can’t exactly put my finger on it. Great job and I really hope to see Halo 5’s multiplayer moved to Steam 
We need to have a separate Halo Channel for MCC Insider! I got booted back to regulation MCC when I finished the terminal in Forerunner. In fact, do away with Halo Channel! Halo Channel sucks!
There are a few cutscenes in the H4 campaign (the terminals in mission 3) that are prerecorded videos at 21:9, but on an actual 21:9 monitor I get black bars on the top and bottom, and the sides are transparent, showing edges of the pause screen. It would be much nicer if the video would take up the whole monitor instead.

It takes you one millisecond to spawn when you’re in the broadsword and die.
