HALO 4 FLIGHT - FEEDBACK THREAD

Halo 4 singleplayer seemed to run smoothly on PC. It’s nice to be able to replay this game with a reasonable field-of-view and high FPS. I appreciate the additional framerate options. I look forward to testing out coop (and showing off improved customization) with my friends when H4 goes live (they aren’t insiders).

However, i did run into a couple issues with key bindings. Even though i didn’t change them this flight, i got an error after changing graphics settings that some bindings were missing… I had to randomly assign bindings i don’t need for singleplayer, just to play after changing my FOV. Please let me just have things unbound or double-bound if i want, and maybe just give me a warning instead of locking me in the options menu. This is quickly growing into my biggest peeve with the MCC.

Additionally, this may just be related to my player skill, but it didn’t seem like active camo was doing anything in singleplayer. Let me know if they just nerfed it compared to other games on the MCC.

It would be better if we can press the button to. Hold ODDBALL, instead of picking it up if we ran across it (Halo 4)

Problems I have so far:
View distance is WAY too short. Some grunts go invisible halfway through some arenas, on max graphics.
Weapons despawn way too fast.

I do wonder if this problem won’t be so bad once it comes to the main game and it gets mitigated with a larger player base to pull from. The flight population could be the reason for this issue, but we won’t know till the update comes.

I feel the same way about crossplay. I’m Australian so when playing on a west us server ( cus I can never find Aus servers) the difference is massive, so imagine some dude with mkb with 10 ping while I’m on 200+ ping. It’s gonna be slaughter.

i cant even put into words how depressing this is

So I’ve done the campaing and this is the only problems i experienced.
I didn’t encounter any of game breaker thing during playing it as other had, it runs smoothly.

Feedback: lights effects are really strong, even the grenades are glowing so much. It is not beautiful and can embarass the view of the player.

Feedback: During the reclaimer mission, the HUD is moving up and down, it’s like a roller coaster. I mean it’s surely too much. I didn’t remember moving it like this on X360.

Feedback: During the composer mission, I could hear the fight between the human and covenants PNJs when i was in an other room. The ambiance was really weird because it feels like the battle is not over but it was because corpses were all over the floor.

I will test the spartan ops and the multiplayers later in the week.

Feedback: *i Personally loved the new armor custimization system, but i would like to see a few new armors like an ODST one or the mark V .
*The multiplayer is much better than i expected, i love it.
*i Know this have been requested by many, but playable elites for multiplayer would be awesome, and they could use armor sets just like the ones in the campaign or H2a multiplayer.

Having a “Jumper Jumper” tab for keyboard and mouse would be awesome

I don’t know if this has been requested before, but it would be great if we could customize the controls exactly as we wanted instead of just having pre-selected options like Bumper Jumper or Recon. I play on an Xbox, and none of the presets are exactly what I like. I mean, obviously you get used to things, but it would be great to just have it the way I like to play.

Preffered input device setting is really annoying. I want to have chance to change mid-game my input device. + Nobody plays with controller exept me, so input based matchmaking doesnt work. : (

I am really enjoying the fov slider, I am currently playing on the Xbox and the “game pad” setting instead of “controller” is a little strange but it isn’t huge

What is the point of a Halo 4 Killcam if watching it makes me lose 7 seconds of my time? In that time a teammate could’ve died. Better yet you always have the option to instantly skip it. Would you like to give the enemy 7 seconds to kill your team or instantly respawn? The system should either instantly respawn you or make you wait the 7 seconds on the killcam

When Alt tabbing (Or when a notification pops up) on PC, it seems that the program (Halo MCC) disappears but is still running, cant find it in the Task Manager or even going thru Alt Tab, best way to actually kill the game is to restart the PC

EDIT: Forgot to mention it also happens when the game gets Minimizes for any reason.

The point was to copy Call of Duty without any consideration as to how it might affect Halo gameplay

How many days should I wait before I decide they aren’t getting back to me and don’t care about an invalid code?

  • When you zoom in, your crosshair reticle doesn’t pop up in any marksman rifle instantly after you cancel the sprint animation. Its delayed about 1 second.
  • Could possibly look into adding matchmaking to spartan ops
  • I noticed there were some armour set and weapon skins not in the flight. Will they be instead part of the battle pass progression? For example, the Mark V, ODST, Prefect, Ricochet and Steel Skin Pack

Halo 4 Insider Multiplayer Test
First, I want to say thanks for the invite to test out the game.
Weapons – Every Weapon should be able to get multiple kills without fuss.

  • The BR and DMR need a Nerf they are way to powerful compared to the other starting weapons. Both weapons kill way to fast to even compare them to other Halo titles. The fire rate for the BR and DMR needs to be turned down. If the fire rate won’t be turned down, then make the other starting weapons stronger than what they are and not just the AR but all the starting weapons. - The Suppressor needs a tone down on the spread and upscale on the damage. Because as of now the weapon is useless. - The Storm Rifle can kill people, but you cannot get multiple kills with it which is why it needs a up scale in damage. - The Plasma Pistol needs a huge upscale in damage. Because as of right now it doesn’t kill at all and has no other purpose but to EMP vehicles.Grenades – Throwing Grenades should always feel Powerful

  • When you equipped the Pulse grenade you only get one grenade. But when you equipped the Frag or Plasma grenades it gives you two of them. So, the Pulse grenade needs a additional grenade like the others, so whenever you pick it you will hold 2 of them like the other grenades. Then if you turn on the Grenade Perk you will have a total of 3 instead of only 2 of them. - The Pulse Grenade needs to do more damage if you walk into it. - Plasma Grenades Radios needs to be biggerArmor Abilities – Need to be powerful and fun to use.

  • Active Camo needs a be completely change up because as of now it basically useless. Because if you use it puts a bunch of Blue dots on the enemy motion sensor which tell them to look out for a enemy player. Now I can understand it putting out red dots for the enemy and blue dots for yourself but blue only makes it not worth using. - The Regeneration Field should be like it was in Halo 3 where if you are in it your shield comes back right away. Because as of now it’s just a beckon for enemy players to bombard with grenades and enemy fire. - The Auto-Sentry needs to be powerful like it is in the campaign. Where it spots out the enemy and shoots out fast powerful light energy shots. - When you bring out your Hard-Light Shield and your normal shield is down it should ack as sense of cover for your normal shield to recharge while your Hard-Light Shield is still active. As well if you active your Hard-Light Shield before a Vehicle or incoming Weapon hits you like the Gravity Hammer, Energy Sword, and heavy weapons hits you it should not kill you. - Still wishing the Thruster Pack was the same one from Infection that’s actually usefulPower Up

  • Active Camo is just useless to the point you don’t even turn completely invisible even if you stand still. This camo power up needs to be fixed so when you grab it you go completely invisible even if you are running around. - It would be nice if the Overshield gave you two extra shields or at least 1.5 version.Vehicles – Should be Powerful but Simi easy to destroy

  • Vehicle health is just way to low. It really needs a update in the health and damage department.
