Campaign felt fine, running at 60 fps and 120 fps was buttery smooth. I’m also extremely grateful that there’s an FoV slider added! However lighting on the Requiem mission from rally point Bravo within the Forerunner structure seems off. As in the blue lights have too strong of a bloom/hue around them. There’s also an issue in multiplayer I’ve noticed in most of the game modes, where when you trade with another player the game sometimes shows “Flood Wins”. Point scoring in Ricochet is also off, sometimes showing that thrown goals are worth 20 points or some thrown goals are worth 0 points.
Multiplayer balancing is still terrible. Shield recharge delay is too long, even with the perk applied. Radar is unhelpful, looking for targets that aren’t anywhere near because the range is too large. Non-unlimited sprint distance is useless in BTB. Respawn rate is too long in infinity slayer, but then way tooooo short in extraction.

Longbow seems to be really low weighted, or maybe I’ve just been unlucky. I’ve played probably 30 or so BTB games since the flight started and I’ve only gotten Longbow once. It’s easily my favourite map in the game and it sucks I can’t seem to get it. Is anyone else having this too where it does’t seem to come up very often? I’m getting a lot of Exile and Ragnarok though.

It would be great to be able to move the (10 Headshot/+10Revenge) and such text that appears in multiplayer.
As it is playing with the Crosshair centered, the text is just obstructing too much.
There’s no legendary BR settings for BTB which should absolutely be a thing.
Adding descope while removing flinch plus flag dropping would make Halo 4 so much better I know patching a legacy title with balance changes may seem crazy but it would be a nice thing to consider.
6v6 ranked is trash, we want 4v4 or 5v5 on regular good map
I don’t know if it’s bugged or intended effectiveness, but Active Camoflauge in multiplayer seems very flawed, so much so that i’m writing a post here.
I can be in camo, crouching perfectly still, and still be instantly spotted from across the map as if I was always in plain sight. Same thing when people round corners, they sometimes catch me instantly as if my tag showed up for an instant and they shoot me, and none of these instances are with Promethean Vision. Kill cams (if present) hardly ever give me a decent perspective to know if I was just unlucky.
I almost exclusively used Active Camo in Reach and could freely walk in front of people and have a few good seconds before they can find me, but in 4, i’m consistently found in short time or none at all from all distances, even when standing perfectly still crouched in a corner.
Again, I don’t know if this is intended Camo effectiveness, but if so, is in serious need of buffing.
I’ll throw in my feedback from a thread I started since this is the more dedicated space.

However if I wanted that experience, I’m going to have to wait for so long that I could have probably completed 2-3 matches if I chose to just search with every option selected under the sun. I do wonder if this problem won’t be so bad once it comes to the main game and it gets mitigated with a larger player base to pull from. The flight population could be the reason for this issue, but we won’t know till the update comes.

The following review was written as I played the game
Campaign
the first level (requiem) was good, suggest increasing the fuel rod cannon explosion radius by a small amount. Please increase sprinting stamina and or walking speed
side note: key binds need to be not incomplete on the launch, required significant toying to fix.
the second level (forerunner) not as good, Prometheans knights need a health pool decrease, grenade cap, teleportation cap, accuracy decrease, speed decrease, and the binary rifle knights will fire randomly, without charge up sometimes making sprinting away the only (sometimes) way to not die from them. The Promethean weapons hard light scopes and pieces have a tendency to detach from the weapon and spin upwards.
nothing notable to say about reclaimer and shutdown
The composer was my favorite one, the covenant is handled pretty well at this level.
Multiplayer
Pretty good, kinda glitchy, bottom halves of people can detach and walk free from their upper half, the kill cams are in desperate need of fixing, every person looks like they have aimbot on.
side note: fr where is odst armor in customization.
overall
the game performed good, I never experienced any significant lag or frame drop, aside from the odd bug and balancing issue it performed well, Ihalo 4 lookin like it boutta
be a pretty solid launch.

Everything was good.
Only one thing that annoyed me was the shield delay recharge time. In my opinion it was far too slow maybe a .05 percent increase would made it more enjoyable during speed runs.

Had this exact same lighting bug in the same area, hopefully it’ll get fixed sooner rather than later.
(And Bloom + Lens Flare options, and Pelican launch bug in start of Shutdown, and Scorpion tank mouse aim being all unwieldy)
