- The reticle disappears while running, (not sure if intended feature) there is a delay for it to reappear. It should be immediate.
- Playing campaign, ALL audio is completely muted during the dialog of Cortana and Chief.
When an enemy in campaign charges the plasma pistol the sound is is played in the wrong area instead of it being where the enemy is it plays directly to your right.
Also this could be a technical issue on my end but when I finished the mission “Requiem” my game froze and gave a fatal error message however I dont remember if there was any error code on the message or not.
Weird bug I just found playing multiplayer. When sprinting while holding a battle rifle, you can aim and your reticle will be invisible.

> Using cloak on Halo 4 PC using a mouse and keyboard is kind of weird. Because you can’t control how fast you move, movement of any kind while cloaked will cause you to become completely visible. Maybe you could add a “slow walk” key binding?
I second this. Was wondering why I kept decloaking, but then I realized that I wasn’t able to move slowly on KB/M. Currently, Active Camo is only useful at a distance since any movement would make you visible.
Foilage pop-in is still very prevalent when playing on high-resolution displays even with the enhanced graphic settings. Is it possible to push these LODs even farther than they already are? Halo 4 has aged very well visually. The foliage poping in so close to the player is, unfortunately, one of the few things that are visually distracting.
Don’t think I have much feedback accept in flood I didn’t get nearly any hive mind? I played about 6 matches and only got that game mode once so I think they need to balance it out. (Also I wish that thrust was turned down for flood as it’s OP but that’s just preference)

New, Bolder Text on Post-Game Report is much Easier to Read. I also like how when you pause, you can see everyone on your team clearly and have a few actions.HALO 4 -

Runs absolutely smooth. 60FPS and 120FPS+ run flawlessly and I virtually had NO Graphical glitches or hiccups! Really felt that the hit registration was super sharp and on point. - Not sure if there’s a “Sprint Stamina” indicator, to show when you run out of Stamina, but maybe it’s always been missing. - I’m not sure if the text Showing up ON the Crosshair has always been there? “Double Kill”, etc. It’s quite distracting at times. - Not sure if it’s my gamma/lighting settings but on some maps, especially Pitfall, the difference between lighted areas and shadowed areas can be a bit rough on the eyes. - Had an instance where… apparently someone quit out of an 8v8, and evidently they were the host or something, and the whole game just hung on the loading screen for over 3 minutes straight, at which point I just had to force close the game. (Had another 8v8 game where when the host quit out, it hung for 10 seconds and then resumed. Kinda weird…)Other general grievances?

Not really a fan of the Helmet shake/bobbing HUD. - And I think it’d make a lot more sense to have the default control for Sprint be “X”, and Abilities be “A”, rather than the default mapping. I’ve switched them with an external program and it’s much more similar to Reach that way and plays great! All in all, my first time playing Halo 4 went very smooth, all things considered!
Not sure if it’s been brought up, and I don’t recall seeing in the 6 or so pages I’ve read thus far. But am I the only one that feel like the player speed in Campaign/Spartan ops is a little sluggish/slow compared the other games on MCC, with the exception of CE everything else feels like it moves faster than H4 even at full sprint. It honestly barely feels faster than CE if I was to give an example.
Spartan Ops really needs the Matchmaking feature from the 360 to return to the MCC! I know this is something not everyone has asked for, but for the mode to have any popularity on the MCC, the mode needs it so you do not have to go around and search for people on your own.
- MCC HALO GAME: Halo 4 PC Flight - Campaign - FEEDBACK: Please change the timer for weapons that drop on the floor, It’s too short that I always struggle to find where the weapon drop and I don’t have enough time to pick it up. Also please fix the keyboard button binding so that I don’t have to bind every action to a key just to be able to save the setting; leave action with unbind key while still be able to save the setting is fine.
BR reticle doesn’t appear when zooming in every other time. Will appear after 1 or 2 bursts.
Not noticed really noticed any other bugs.
Been nice to play Halo 4 again though.
Graphics are okay, fps caps are nice at 60, 120, 180, 240, but could 144 be added as it is a common fps cap number
Promethean weapons play their slowed down animation for every 1st picked up for a level (for say you pick up the suppressor for the first time in shutdown, it plays the full animation), don’t know if its a bug but its a nice feature

Please file reports even if you know someone else who has filed a bug. The more information 343 has, the faster they can get things fixed
Textures for Halo 4 currently in campaign and MP is pretty bad and very noticeably low texture/res. Will it be updated in final game? I have everything on high running 170+ fps
Halo 4 Multiplayer Feedback:
It’d be great if we could get an Official Race Game Mode for Halo 4!
Rocket Race could be really fun in H4.
If I’m not mistaken Halo 4 did have a race playlist for a short while back in 2013.

I thinks there is still chance, go on halo insider, and follow the instructions
Very bad FPS drops in BTB on Xbox one, especially when you play team fiesta
I don’t want to submit a ticket for this because I’m sure it’s very common, but I can’t even open my MCC Insider app. It says “Update Needed” with the following:
“You need this update, but we can’t get it at the moment. Try again in a while. (0x8b050033)”
And yeah, I deleted and reinstalled, and have tried many times. Any advice? Just keep plugging away I guess?
Halo 4 Forge Feedback:
I really like what you guys are doing with the H4 Thorge update.
All the new objects are great!
However, I would like to see a few more objects like:
- Covenant and Forerunner Blow up Batteries (You can find them in the campaign) - Additional UNSC scenery objects from the campaign. (Ivanov Station has a ton of great boxs, science equipment and cool science stuff) - And finally can we please have the Mammoth in the forge. Even if it’s just a scenery object. Those are a few things I’d like to see added into the H4 forge.
Keep up the great work!
343 Industries community development team,
I have a lot to say in this post but I will do my best to organize it and keep it to the point as much as possible. In my last post back in January, I provided feedback regarding the state of Halo 4 and what could be done to fix the social settings as well as possible solutions for a ranked playlist, written in a professional and respectful manner. The post I am referring to is under a different gamertag (Marshadows), but it got about 20 likes, which I noticed was two to three times more than the majority of other posts (not trying to boast), and I thought would lead to some positive changes. Long story short, it did not. Therefore, the tone of this post is still professional and respectful but with a bit frustration given the amount of time between now and then that the team has had to implement some of the things that, not just myself, but many people in the community have echoed. Simply put, we are not impressed.
Community Sentiment:
The first thing I would like to address is the anti-Halo-4 sentiment that has come from your own team. In the September 2020 MCC development update you stated, “As a reminder, we’re flighting more than just Halo 4 - so even if it’s not your favorite Halo title, there’s plenty to dig into now and in the future.” Why? Why would you say something like that just for Halo 4? Believe it or not Halo 3 is not everyone’s favorite title, nor is Halo 2, or Halo Reach. Everyone has their preference, but the fact that you went out of your way to point that out for Halo 4, which is your own game by the way, shows a complete lack of responsibility. Admittedly, I shared a similar message with my own post from January, but I am an individual member in the community, not the developer of the game. The game was not great when it launched on Xbox 360, trust me I was there opening night. However, after listening to feedback and making some changes, the game was great, not perfect, no Halo game is perfect, but still great. Unfortunately, by that time people seemed to have already made their minds up about it and they still see it that way today. That was on Xbox 360, the MCC version of Halo 4 is completely disingenuous to the retail game.
Ranked:
Let’s get into the ranked playlist issue. First of all, there has not been a ranked playlist for Halo 4 for probably two years now. Again, why? Why does Halo 3 get 3-4-5 ranked playlists, a competitive revival with official tournaments, and all of the attention so it would seem, but Halo 4, your own game, gets next to nothing apart from just being on MCC? Speaking of ranked playlists, not everything has to be hardcore too. There are competitive settings outside of the traditional hardcore/competitive settings that would actually do well to bring in a combination of hardcore and non-hardcore players and extend the life of the playlist so that people are actually able to attain the max rank, but that is where community feedback is most valuable. Which brings me to the ranked offering for Halo 4 insider, it is absolutely atrocious. Nobody in the Halo 4 community that I have played with or against in social or competitive (community hosted tournaments), in 2v2s, 4v4s, BTB, FFA, Infection, Grifball, etc., NOBODY said they wanted a 6v6 ranked playlist. I understand you took a risk and took the time to create an entirely new playlist for the game, but when we gave you feedback nine months in advance and then this is what we are given, it just reaffirms that the team does not take the game or the feedback serious. Not only that, but people who were on the fence about trying Halo 4 are only going to judge the competitiveness of the game based off of this, and when they do not like it, which they will not, they will become part of the “it’s not your favorite Halo title” crew. Do you see the issue? Honestly, at this point it would probably be best to just bring back the 5v5 arena playlist that was already in the game and call it good. I do not see the team investing their time and resources into creating another playlist.
Social:
Now let’s get into the plethora of issues with Halo 4’s social offerings. When I said that the MCC version is completely disingenuous to the original game, this is where it shines the most. The maps that we are given for 4v4 are mostly DLC - some are good, most are not good - and again it is not just me saying that. I am not sure if you have played social 4v4 Halo 4 on MCC but DLC maps like Harvest, Vertigo, Landfall, and Monolith, combined with base maps like Exile and Ragnarok do not make for fun games (I would say competitive too, but it is social). One thing I will reiterate here from my post back in January is that people quit all the time on these maps and then you are forced to search for one person for the next 15 minutes on the biggest maps in the game. Not fun! On top of that I watched Snakebite’s stream (the pro player) for a while when he was playing Insider, and sure enough he got a CTF match on Ragnarok in 4v4 that went the entire time limit, and all the while the chat is saying how Halo 4 does not look fun or competitive. So it would seem the feedback that my colleagues and I provided months in advance regarding these issues was not received due to the fact that they are now on Insider. Did I mention that all CTF games go to five caps in 4v4 as well? Ragnarok 4v4 CTF to five caps, please tell me how that ever got put in the game. Also, in the Precision Slayer playlist certain maps have double weapon spawns or power weapons spawn issues. Adrift, Monolith, and Landfall all have issues with power weapon spawns that I pointed out in January but are now in the Insider flight. What happened to maps like Epicenter, Simplex, Dispatch, Select (which is in H2A), Rubble, Orion, Rail, etc. that worked so well for 2v2s, 4v4s, 5v5s, slayer, objective, and on and on. That is where the bar was set on original Halo 4, now it has been reduced to the BTB maps in 4v4 and DLC that does not even compare to maps in the original game. I have submitted tickets, provided feedback, tweeted…nothing.
Closing:
At this point I do not know what else to say without sounding like a broken record. Just to recap, there are serious issues with Halo 4 as far as what is being offered for ranked and what is already offered for social. While I do not expect to see everything get changed exactly as I described it, it would be great to know that our feedback is being listened to and we are not wasting our time or yours. If you have any questions or if you need help, I am an open book. Please do not hesitate to reach out.
Thank you!
