Halo 4:FireFight 3.0

343 Please read and consider some of these suggestions.

Firfight compared to many other survival game modes is not fun.

GOW3 Horde mode *****
CoD Zombies ****
Halo firefight **

Reasons for this is that it is way to repetetive and is pointless to play unless you’re doing it to get a challenge or an achievement. The reasons why COD and Gears survival modes are fun is because there are objectives in the game other then to survive. The points you get for kills are useless in firefight. You need to implement someway to use them via weapons drops, re-inforcements, what ever. Also some way to fortify an area would be great too.

Ways to use points.
Make some kinda of headquarters on the map where you can purchase certain upgrades.
Upgrades could be the following.
-Weapon drops
-Vehicle drops
-Re-inforcements
-power ups
You can have lists of things so it makes the game more diverse.
Example
-Re-inforcements
-ODST
-Marines
-Heavy ODST squad
-Heavy marine squad
-spec ops marines
You probably get the idea by now.
Another way to make a good use of points other then scoring is fortifications.
You guys made forge for multiplayer, why not be able to use it in firefight? Make it so that at the end of each round you can fortify your defences. The way you would do so is forge. You can add turrets or destructable barriers or walls and such or you can add an extension to a wall. We need something that makes killing the enemy worth doing it for.

IMO what firefight really needs is somethign to shoot for akin to ODST achievments, I thnk a firefight rank would be really cool where as opposed to having armory completion percent it shows the highest set and wave accomplished.

If they did firefight 3.0 it should be tamed down to feel like Odst health system then every round we can buy turrets in fixed positions then maybe have drop ships for tanks or reinforcement pods with money used from killing covenant/flood.

Plus could have special boss’s like Flood versions of hunters, maybe add the gravemind as a boss.

There’s must be a feature that FF 3.0 should have, and that’s indivudual lives for everyone. I don’t like beeing punished for the deaths of my teammates.

There should be non-power weapons in the map, and even power ups (Active Camo and Overshield) to add a reason to move in the map.

There should be also FF ranks that actually take skill to achieve (playing and winning), not time played because of AFKing.

I prefer the GoW life system we’r if you die then you have to buy your way back into the game because firefight should be about being careful, not the firefight with Rocket spamming that Reach has become due to the pointless credit system.

You say Firefight’s problem is that it is repetitive, yet you rate Call of Duty -Yoink!- Zombie mode higher. -Yoink!- Zombies has to be one of the most repetitive game modes I’ve ever experienced.

I do agree that Firefight could be made more interesting and fun with a few additions, but isn’t that the case with all game modes?

I enjoy Firefight Limited a LOT more than Firefight Arcade, it just seems that the majority of players don’t find it interesting enough.

It’s because it’s short, they pretty much ruined the feeling of the firefight, now everyone is camping for credits. If they ditched the credit system in Halo 4 then I’d be a lot happier.lol Plus the firefight maps are too small, time is small.

ODST FIREFIGHT
-only 1 default loadout
-weapon racks (limited ammo)
-weapons and ammo at the successful completion of each round
-all set skulls are eventually active

What i would like to see in Firefight 3.0:

  1. Boss waves e.g An Arbiter, Super grunt(lol), or a chieftain like Tartarus from H2
  2. Able to create some sort of fortification(Gears 3)
  3. Areas that are locked until certain criterias are met ( Cod zombies)
  4. Gradual increase in difficulty (like in ODST)
  5. Side objectives for example “kill #'s of grunts in this wave Reward: extra marine in next reinforment”
  6. Flood Firefight/ Sentinel fight

Those are all great ideas i really hope 343i read this and considers some of these.

Well… 343i has got the creator of CoD zombies.
They should include in Firefight 3.0

  1. Flood

  2. Objectives e.g capture and secure this item and escort too the LZ, hold this posisition for this amount of time, deploy this bomb, kill this many enemies this way/within this time

  3. In game economy, everything you do contributes to it

  4. Bonuses/rewards e.g ammunition, Vehicles, AI assistance, power ups and armour abilities

5.Boss waves e.g Scarab, Chieftain of the Brutes i.e Tartarus, Prophets, Elite Arbiter and Council and Flood Gravemind

  1. Improved custimization of waves e.g selecting what weapons your foes have and how many of this certain unit you wish to have

  2. Maps that are interactive e.g opening doors, bridges, shields, gravelifts, elevators and teleporters

  3. Have multiple factions fight you at once and make the waves increasingly difficult as you progress

If you could Forge Firefight would be nice to. Also can you include songs from previous Halos e.g Halo 2’s Blow me Away or Halo CE’s Rock Anthem For saving the World and Halo 3’s One Final Effort and any others.

i agree with you firefight does get boring after awile…

Forgable Firefight, I dont care if adding in the feature delays the game, its pure GOLD.
