Hi everyone, I’m trying to get the “Sharing is Caring” achievement for uploading a clip to file share. However, there’s an issue that whenever I go into Theater, it tries to “verify” me and then it boots me out of Xbox Live.
I’m able to bypass this somewhat by going to my Spartan Hub -> Setting and Files -> Network -> My Xbox 360 to switch to a local network before going into Theater, and then Switching to Xbox Live after I get into the Theater.
However, whenever I try to upload the file, it tries to do the “verifying selection” thing again and then the file transfer times out and tells me that the Halo 4 servers aren’t available.
I didn’t have this issue with Halo 3 or Reach on Xbox 360 recently. It only applies to Halo 4. And if you look at TA, there are plenty of people who’ve earned the achievement in the past few days (look at Recent Winners at the side) so I’m not sure what my issue is. Additionally, I can play multiplayer just fine.
So I’m having this same issue across all my consoles, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. My friend also tested theirs and they are having the same problem as well. So I can rule out that it’s a problem with my account or something, and more to do with Halo 4’s servers in general.
I’m having the same problem; can’t upload a file to my file share on either Reach or 4. Very frustrating given we have only a few months to get all the multiplayer achievements. Help!
Same problem here after 2 weeks, c’mon 343 fix this so we can get the achievement already, I recommend you guys to send a ticket to 343 over on Halo support so maybe they fix it sooner

I did. Unfortunately they said that they can’t help and are only able to help on Xbox One Halo games

I got some, they said they are working on it and for me to share to many as I can because more ppl more attention it gets, they aren’t sure when it’s going to get solved but at least they actually responded

Yes, unfortunately Halo 4 servers went down this past week and haven’t come back online. The only thing currently playable is campaign.

Has there been any word at all from 343 about potentially fixing the fileshare one last time before the servers go down forever or are we just being ignored at this point? =(
I’ve tried contacting 343 staff but haven’t received any reply or acknowledgement on this issue… I guess it’s a waiting game at this point?
