Halo 4 FFA Tournament Questions (and criticis

So I have a lot of questions regarding the Tournament, in regards to settings and bracket style, double or single elimination, etc; but the most prominent question that I have, that I feel has not been touched upon (and if it has PLEASE link me to the information) is this:

Will the Halo 4 $500,000 tournament only be in RTX?

Because god almighty if it is then you messed up, like hard. Incredibly super hard. As in “You had the chance to do something great for the competitive and casual communities alike and bring them closer, but literally held it in-front of our collective weeping faces and lit it on fire… And then urinated away the flames and embers”

So please, in the name of all that is Halo, please answer that question; I really hope that, as a leading video game who does incredible things for and with its’ community, you didn’t just fail that hard.

Seriously, the single largest payout for any Halo tournament in recorded history, and you decide to give people less than two weeks notice, no details on the settings, no hints as to who would be attending that would be recognizable, no incentive literally whatsoever to pull people out to participate and miss work (because who the hell can spring that on an employer and really get the days off on such short notice?) other than a chance at the sweet sweet honey-pot of cash. Which, by the way, is great and all but we still don’t know if it is cash or prizes.

I am praying that the event in RTX will just be a taste of what’s to come in terms of potential scale of developer support, but in the future please organize this a little better and tell people what is going on. To know you are missing out on something that you have waited since the end of Halo 3’s dying peak life cycle just because the people behind it all just didn’t really feel like “tweeting the deets” is utterly heart-breaking.

Thank you!

RTX is only going to be the first part. There is going to be an online part to it, so don’t fret. We will be getting the details on July 1st. I just hope it isn’t like the Infinity Challenge where the person with the most free time had a significant advantage.
