The game has been out for nearly a month, so I think it’s pretty safe at this point to not include the word “spoiler.”
At any rate, Cortana’s final moments with the Chief are fairly dramatic and marks one of the saddest departures in Halo. With the logic she gave, it seems fairly apparent that she won’t be coming back, but at the same time, she’s also a HUGE staple in the story of the Chief, and future Halo games without her would definitely have a different feel to them, so do you believe this is the last we’ve seen of her?
Even if a “clone” of her was made from Halsey again, it would be an entirely new unit, and since Halsey wasn’t involved in the Chief’s endeavors from Halo CE all the way to the present time, that experience would be lost.
Really can’t see her being gone forever. A long shot but how about the Chief going to find Cortana with the help of Dr. Halsey. She must have some technology in the pipework that could make this happen. I’m sure it would be a twist to the Halo universe but could be scope for a new world, an A.I. world.

No, I don’t think she’s dead. I think the Librarian AI made a copy of her. Perhaps to fix/upgrade her? Either way, she’ll be back. Can you have a Halo game without MC/Cortana?

I agree, it’s annoying to have one (if not the) most important thing in the campaign scenario ruined. I don’t think the insulting words should be used though (same rules for everyone).

Guys it’s been almost 5 weeks since Halo 4’s release he thouhgt everyone on Waypoint had beaten the game no need to get mad at him. Also no way is she dead. She has to come back.

Perhaps you and comprehension should become acquainted.
I hope she is, it would be a drastic change. Don’t get me wrong, I love the character of Cortana, but millions of people have died in the Halo universe and many have had fantastic sacrificial deaths. To have Cortana sacrifice herself that way an amazing death. I can only imagine how the Chief will die.

I don’t think how old a game is means everyone will know the scenario. Personally I use an “anime” forum almost everyday, those series are all about the scenario and there’s always a spoiler tag, even if the anime is 10 years old and I’m glad because I’m catching up with old series that “everyone” watched, I don’t need spoilers.
Of course she has to come back, she looks so hot not that Halo 4 has such awesome graphics lol.

Maybe Halo 5 will be a game without her most if not all the way though until the end. I do think the Librarian has taken a copy or something of the likes. The Didact did take interest in her and too the Librarian.
