Halo 4 Evolved?

As the time ticks, we are around 45+ days till the launch of Halo 4, and there are a few things I would like to adress and what to expect in the coming weeks. Since E3 we have seen a variety of multiplayer maps, haven, andrift, Longbow, exile, solace, complex and the recently confirmed images of the Halo 3 remake of Valhalla. My recent concerns on all of these multiplayer maps, are the fact that there are all huge maps, and we are yet to see any small competitive Maps. Looking forward to the upcoming MLG in Dallas, Halo 4 will make its triumphant return on the competitive pedestal. But with six multiplayer maps revealed as of late, what can the MLG Pros expect? There is at least four multiplayer maps that have not been revealed, and maybe at least two of them will be revealed and MLG Dallas, let’s keep our fingers crossed! 343 industries have not confirmed any multiplayer forged maps. If I’m correct, there are three humongous forged world maps, but what other purpose for these? I love forge, but three huge forge worlds means less DLC maps. Remember, that Halo reach suffered from DLC maps which in fact were created by 343 industries. I’m so hyped for the game but I’m just hoping that putting all the efforts into the campaign, 3 forge worlds, the 26 Weapons, 36 armors and add-ons, didn’t take away from building multiplayer maps. I mean Valhalla looks like it was squeezed in, at the last minute. Why else would 343 industries implant a multiplayer map like Valhalla versus a map like Guardian? Nonetheless Halo 4 looks like it’ll be the most action-packed Halo yet do to its variety of weapons, armor abilities, vehicles and the newly multiplayer appearance of metal gear look-alike, the mantis, which looks very operational and deadly to any user who aboard its arsenal. Never before has the banshee played a bigger role that it will in Halo 4 multiplayer. That’s how 343 Industries looks to innovate the game of Halo. Halo 4 should have been called Halo 4 combat evolved! But that’s just me hehe!! Let me know what you guys think of the 6 multiplayer maps thus far. Let’s just hope that this game lives up to the hype that Halo reach failed to deliver to its loyal Halo fans in 2010. It’s time for a resurrection! God bless everyone

Paragraphs, please. Right now your post looks like this.

Sorry I was in a rush!

There’s a topic talking about the suitability of confirmed maps for MLG here.

If MLG adapts to the game, instead of trying to adapt the game to itself, I think things will work fine from a competitive aspect. Especially considering the capabilities of forge.

The game may have larger maps, but the game is much faster paced and the the player literally moves much faster(Halo 3 base movement plus sprint). Frankie has stated that 4v4 modes work well on some of the larger maps because of this.

39 days! your Right! day are flying!!

Adrift and Haven are both small, competitive maps. Solace and Complex seem to fill the longer range as far as on-foot maps and shorter range as far as vehicular maps, with Ragnarok, Longbow and Exile being the main vehicular maps of the bunch. Corret me if I’m wrong.

That leaves 3 unrevealed maps of the 10 they said would ship with the disc (not including 3 forged variants, 1 for each of the 3 Forge Worlds).

I’d guess that these three will be more tailored toward smaller scale on-foot combat, given that they’d want to showcase at least one of the Forge Worlds tailored towards vehicular combat. A 5 to 5 infantry-only vs. vehicular ratio sits just fine with me, given the gametypes revealed so far; and a 6:4 works fine too. Halo CE was a little skimpy on the vehicular maps, so at the very least 3-4 vehicular maps seems like a wise choice.

Yea, that is not going to happen.
