They need to bring equipment from Halo 3 but they need modified it to a better game play experance. This will go for all of the equipment in Halo 3.
HOW IT WORKS: I honestly think all of the equipment from that game was to big and did not work to well. They should have the combination of a grenade and the ability of health shields on Halo Reach. The way of how it will work is if you have this item you can throw it like a regular grenade to either help your teammate when they need it or use it for yourself. When you use it for yourself all you would need to do is click LB button but if you want to throw it use the left trigger. You can select your items where your grenades are at.
EQUIPMENT: So most of the equipment are good as it is but some needs to be a little bit stronger.
Bubble shield: Keep it the same and grenade size like the 60 second trailer Halo 3 made.
Deployable Cover: I don’t know if they really should bring it back. I did not use it much…
Flares: If they are going to bring it back they better make it a lot stronger and more blinding…
Portable grav-lift: Maybe a little bit smaller but does the same thing.
Power drain: Grenade size and a little bit smaller range of power draining. Also has EMP that can disable vehicles and armor ability( If there is armor ability?)
Radar jammer: Grenade size and keep it the same.
Regenerator: Grenade size and I like Halo 3 regenerator than Halo Reach health shield.
Trip mines: A little smaller and a lot more stronger… To many epic fails with it… ( like Halo 3 beta)
SIZE AND TIME: MOST of the equipment are a little bit bigger then regular frag grenades but this size will matter how far you throw it. The time it will spawn is between grenades and weapons.
ARMOR ABILITIES AND EQUIPMENT: I personally think they can have the combination of the two thing in Halo 4. People can have a option to play with both armor abilities and equipment or can use just one of the depending on what game type they play.
If anyone has any other equipment ideas or other ideas just comment. Thanks you. Update. 1.2
And I’m not joking here. I’d love to see H4 as an overall game show progress, but in terms of multiplayer gameplay I’m now in the state of mind that less is more. CE and H2 were epic fun, H3 was less fun, Reach was less fun…now when you play CEA you know how it should play. No equipment feels right.
Just add the classic pick ups, and maybe add 2 more of them or so. But the whole concept of Equipment and AA’s is no-go for me personally. Not a reason to not buy the game, but definatly not something that’s on my wishlist.
Keep is simple, it feels fresh and less random and annoying.
I like the Idea of things being like grenades, but keep them separate from armor abilities.
Also, I like the Drop Shield -since you forgot or don’t know what it’s called- it gave its little brother a purpose other than those 5 seconds you want protection after your shields pop.
In my opinion, you should have “special grenades,” objects you throw to help a teammate or hinder an enemy: radar jammer, energy drainer, flairs and possibly grav-lifts.
Then for armor abilities, you have pretty much what you have in Reach: sprint and evade, -link the two, so instead of jumping whilst sprinting, you role- drop shield, jet pack, camo -but drop the -Yoink!- jamming!- and, despite everyones hate for it, armor lock. -noobs need something to be good at-

You know for a fact they are not going to turn back around. They are going add something if you like it or not…
The only true changes I saw you make on equipment would be they could be thrown as a grenade, and that flares, as annoying as they already were, would be more annoying. I don’t really see how any of this really makes it better, unless you are just the extremely lazy type who doesn’t feel like taking a few second of his time to walk over to a teammate and then use equipment if you wanted to do so.

You know what would be pretty cool is if someone had a power drainer and it can disable that persons ability when they are in it or got hit by it.
Drop shields are very nice to use but they need to make it more mobile like?
Good ideas, couldn’t have thought of better ones myself.
I’d love to see the Trip Mine return to the Halo 3 Beta version. I think everyone had fun with that thing at some point. Hell, I voted Valhalla just to get the opportunity to have some fun with the Trip Mine.
The Bubble Shield becoming grenade shaped was a good idea because then it becomes less of a camping based tool, since it’ll roll - especially on uneven surfaces. It’ll become quite amusing to watch players having to move with their deployed piece of cover I’d imagine.

If the equipment you pick up was displayed somewhere you can easily see it from a distance, like on the leg opposite to where a pistol is kept, then equipment would be the most reasonable addition if we had to look to the past for an idea to implement, because they are one time use and balanced, especially compared to AA’s, and especially compared to AA’s, they work with the halo formula, as they are controlled like power weapons, which in a sense, is what they are.
> I like that idea gAg CruSh3r, maybe all EMPs should disable armor abilities… that would make the plasma pistol better as well.
I like that idea with the plasma pistol and EMP weapons because then people can stop any armor abilitie. Haha I can imagine a person jet packing and getting hit with a plasma pistol and falling to his death lol .
If Equipment was to return then…
*They must be picked up
*They must be limited(but not necessarily always just one use)
*They must be exchangeable after death if not used up
*They must be clearly visible on the player model
As long as these guidelines are followed than I would be fine with equipment returning.

Yup. That all sounds about right in my book lol. The grenades(equipment) will be a little bit bigger then regular grenade. They will drop if some does not use it and it will spawn between the times of grenades and weapons.
Nooo. Equipment as it played was terrible. The idea that it helps or hinders anyone is stupid, if you pick up something off the map, it should work in YOUR favor, and YOUR favor alone.
I like the idea MLG has of Armor Abilities that are found on the map. These give the abilities almost an “Overshield/Active Camo” sense, in that they are powerups specifically for you to use.
@ Quote: They must be exchangeable after death.
No. They must not be. Overshields and Active Camo never were. Nothing should be exchangeable except the weapons you are holding. Otherwise it defeats the purpose of using it as a Power Up.

Oh so basically even though equipment could be used for your gain or for several players gain (even the gain of the whole team), we can’t have team play, because that’s just bad. That’s what I’m getting from your post and it sounds ridiculous.
