I think that’s a pretty logical addition to a game that’s attempting to enter a new generation. In fact, I can’t think of any reason not to include something like this (other than time and technological constraints).
Well I think being able to switch maps from day to night would be awesome. Also I think rain would be awesome. We should be able to customize the density of the raid which could make some interesting matches ( depending on how heavy the rain is vision can be heavily changed). Also We should be able to change how dark we want our nighttime levels ( Like we should be able to make it so so can barley see anything, except what you point your flashlight at ). Doing things like this would allow Halo 4 to stay fresh for years.

Halo 3 has had small effects like changing how the map looks to a players and things like rain, snow, fog, etc can be scripted.
You know, I was just struck by a vision of vehicles half mired in mud, rain pelting down on the windshield, players shouting to be heard over the wind, visors blurring with condensation… I don’t think console technology is quite there yet, but perhaps our grandchildren will enjoy something to this effect.
