Forerunners are the enemy in the Epiologue
No they aren’t. If they were, then the game would be over quickly since Forerunners are practically invincible in their suits.
Chief would turn into a green pool of muck after a Forerunner dealt with him.
So~, I highly doubt that the Forerunners will be our enemy. And like GoVader said, there’s only one, single Precursor.
Aren’t Forerunners supposed to be Extinct? Maybe they put their DNA in those databases like they did with other species but kept the forerunner data on the planet we are going to and have been repopulating secretly all these years?

Chief will face off against an ancient enemy, it could be Precursors, Forerunners or this “new” race introduced in the Halo CEA terminals.
All these are more advanced than the UNSC, so tell me what’s the point in Halo 4 if the Chief is going to get pwned because of superior tech?

You never know. It is believed that the Precursors are an Intergalactic Species. Being able to travel between galaxies. The Halo Array only spanned the Milky Way. One galaxy. An entire army of Precursors could be waiting in another Galaxy. In truth, I don’t think that 343 would introduce an entirely new race more advanced than the Forerunners and somewhat build up a background, though vague and short, on the Precursors and even center their next novel after one, for them not to be the enemy.

They were also similar technologically as the Forerunners. The UNSC isn’t.

True, but humans are known to rapidlly improve in technology. look at how far we’ve gone in the last 20 years.
Plus now that the war is over, we have alot of access to both forerunner and covenant technology.
And you know, it might not be a war of all the humans against all the forerunners. It may just be chief against forerunners who are on their way to human controlled space.

Chief alone cannot beat a group of Forerunners and humanity in the Halo universe will not match Forerunner strength for decades, if not centuries, especially if events are playing out the way they are.
You should reevaluate your theory after next Tuesday. Very excited for Primordium.
