Not sure what your thinking but when I first saw the concept art video I thought they were forerunners.
Well, OK, they sort of kind of do but for me to say that you would also need to take into effect that the entire surroundings of the figure is by manmade objects, not forerunner-made objects. So definitely humans.
But it’s kinda confirmed there’s humans. Um… MC is human. XD
