This saddens me to see my favorite franchise of all time dying like this.

I love the franchise, not this game. I am hoping the decreasing population will give 343 a hint to make Halo a arena shooter again instead of a big DMR battle.

I hate to admit, but i’m not surprised about that at all.

Why not? Obviously people aren’t enjoying the game if it’s behind games that came out over a year or two ago. Why can’t I be concerned that the population is low? I love Halo and I’d like it to be at the top again. Even if it is a stretch I’d like to see it happen.
So, why another thread for population if there’s an active one?

If you love a franchise you would want to see it survive and not be ruined.

I saw this coming back in 2012 when the Multiplayer was leaked. I predicted that this was going to happen, but not that it was going to happen this fast.

You are right, it is happening really fast. Where do you think it will end up when the blockbuster titles release this fall. I say out of the top 20.
So umm when will the first black ops surpass halo now. I know there is already a thread for population but damn 343, I hope you see how well making the game more accessible has worked for you.

well pretty much every time major nelson updates the Live activity chart, subzerochief comes in and roasts the -Yoink- out of halo 4!

You are 100% right ! I pretty much left the Waypoint forums for a little while because of all the negative threads , good thing there’s still some people like you!
People would be unhappy if Halo 4 was at the number 2 or 3 spot. Even at number 1, I swear there would be threads about how it shouldn’t deserve it. Once a Halo game dissipates from the Activity Chart, you can then start to worry.

Wait until it takes you just about five minutes to find a game in MM. Then you’ll be concerned whether people play it or not.
