I LOVE DOUBLES!! I would also like to see a return to this classic playlist.
It’s not going to be a playlist at launch, as there’s no maps suitable for it. Haven and Adrift are what the multiplayer designers at 343 think are “small” maps, so it’ll be a few weeks, maybe months, until there’s a proper 2v2 playlist, or even a proper 4v4 playlist for that matter.

Pure speculation. None of it confirmed.
There is a possibility that Doubles will return (I hope it does!), but as of now, we don’t know for sure.
If doubles doesn’t return in a ranked format, I literally will lose all respect for 343 as a developer.
