I’ve seen obscene amounts of people liking the idea of adding useless game add-ons like killstreaks and custom classes or loadouts.
Honestly, Halo is Halo not, CoD.
We have loadouts in Reach, and guess what? At first (And most likely still today) dont like the idea of having loadouts because of the certain AAs (i.e. Armor lock, Jet pack, active camo, etc) because instead of actually creating a skill gap, it broke it. Anyone can be good at pressing a button and throwing for fist into the world for 6 seconds of invulnerability.
Theres nothing far about camping in the back of a map with a sniper trying to get (I suppose I’ll use the example of a) Long Sword “Air Strike” Then what? He gets a few easy spawn kills and what not, then what? Goes back to camping for a nuke.
Honestly, Someone should not need a campy kill streak to prove he/she is good.
So, please quit trying to make Halo 4 the next Call of Duty in Space.
But i want to has my uber helicopter killstreak for camping in the corner and waitingz until someone come around teh corner 2 shoot them down. LOL JK! Im sick of these COD noobs. I mean how is that game even fun?
While I agree with the point of this thread, but was making it really necessary? I mean, sure, some people frustrate me with their ideas or lack of understanding on certain subjects, but I don’t make threads about it. I just let them be unless the problem really starts to show and I can say something constructive about it. People have complete rights to post their ideas here, and I really don’t see so much problems about it as 343i won’t be taking those ideas into consideration (chances are the went through those ideas before they started building the game).
I just hope they don’t try and make it appealing to the CoD community or some other game community. Just keep it Halo and support the strong community that is out there right now on forums, and playing the games.

The reason: those threads are every where. Can one not wish the best to a game, without the man putting him down.
But, in all seriousness, those treads are really starting to clog up the HALO 4 forum search, and I’d rather not see air strikes in Halo 4.

Drop in/out matchmaking would work if there’s no penalty for quitting. Me and a lot of others want fresh matches and not get stuck on some losing side or when the match is a couple minutes from being over.
> Adding spring will not make Halo CoD. It will finally make the chief fast and agile like he is suppose to be, but that’s just my two cents.
I know that, because no one wants it to be snowing on every map. I know Master Chief has the advantage on the ice, but im sure Spring will help, without making HALO 4 a CoD in space.
Thank you, people have been playing CoD soo much that they think a game like halo needs “killstreak rewards”. The only killstreak reward i want halo to have is that pretty little medal that pops up on the side of the screen with the announcer saying “Killing spree” or KILLING FRENZY. I’m content with that.

Yes, Its been that way since technically Halo CE minus the medal but, yes its worked since Halo 2, why stop now.
People just need to realize that there is already a noob favored game…CoD, and that Halo 4 doesnt need to associate with CoD.
I never saw threads in which people were asking for Longswords to give airstrikes during regular multiplayer. I think most sane people will know that would not fit Halo.
On the other hand: would it really be a bad idea to have in Firefight for instance? It could even work in Invasion (as part of a fixed stage of course)
Same goes for Loadouts. Are they bad? No. Take away AA’s (at least the ones like AL, but preferably all of them for Matchmaking) and you’re simply left with a choice in starting weapon. Nothing wrong with that, esspecially not for gametypes like BTB.
But I do agree things like Killstreaks do not have a place in Halo and should never be brought in. We simply have medals for that, and 343i could for instance expand the idea of Commendations to reward players who perform awesome deeds with more Cr, but definetely not with extra bonusses in a match.
Furthermore: if we want Halo 4 to be a success, we should neither want it to be like CoD, Battlefield, MoH or anything else but itself (because then it would be one of the few unique experiences for those who don’t want to play CoD-styled shooters), nor should we forget the game should improve upon the last one (and then taking concepts from other shooters is inevitable)

But when you think about it, what else do we have here to talk about? Nothing really. So until we get concrete information, speculation and people’s ideas will be filling the front page. And if you really think that 343i would actually even consider implementing some of the community ideas, don’t fear, they’re paid for considering does the idea actually fit into a game, they won’t get fooled by someone asking for kill streaks. If Halo 4 is going to have any of the community ideas, chances are it’s one of the sensible ones, and most likely just a coincidence.

What game do you think the noob favored game before CoD rose in popularity in 07?
The “noobs” are what gives Microsoft 10 million sales, not the people on these forums that make up an insignificant amount of sales.
how many times has everyone discussed this about halo and cod, right ok we all know we we dont want halo to be like cod and it never will and in my experience of playing halo it never has been like cod, every other day a new topic arises about the same crap every one has talked about 100’s of times
