I have been watching alot of halo4 gameplay and when ever it becomes a br battle and dmr battle, the dmr wins.also the bloom barely is there,Whats your thoughts on this weapon/

For a while, the DMR was better all around. I heard they nerfed it, but it’s still beats out the BR by a fraction of a second. Which is odd since every other weapon does the exact opposite and works better only in its range. You would think it would kill slightly slower than the BR if that were the case, but nope. It’s the exact opposite.
While it appears the DMR is slightly more powerful, I’ll probably use the BR most of the time, as it just looks like it fits my play style better. In the end, it really comes down to personal preference.
BR is close-medium range
DMR is long-medium range
Medium range, its anyone’s game. Otherwise, Br will lose at long range and DMR at short.
DMR Is a Jack of all Traits. In most all situation, there is no reason to use the BR over the DMR. People say BR is superior at close range, but that isn’t the case if you can aim well.
To answer your question, I think DMR is more powerful than the other precision weapons.
How to fix it? Buff all precision weapons except DMR. That will make the BR more useful at close range, and make the Carbine and Light Rifle Actually worth using.

Actually no, not “this” look at bravomlg’s latest video which I believe is titled rampage halo 4 montage or something around there. Even at close range the BR got destroyed by the DMR. DMR in my opinion needs a tone down or the BR needs to become a four shot weapon to keep it from being behind all the other weapons.

i’ve played about 15 games and they seem well balanced to me. I’ve been doing work mostly with the BR. So far my stats are:
10 games won
261 kills
88 deaths
69 assists

Just because you like a weapon more does not mean its not underpowered. I loved the Carbine in Halo 3 and Needler in Reach, that doesn’t mean they weren’t clearly outclassed in almost all situations.
I’ve seen the BR, Carbine and AR all beat out the DMR alot. It all depends on personal preference, play style, tactics, and what map you’re on.

No, it depends on what skill the other player is and how hurt you are from last fight. I can easily finish someone off with an AR if they are shield less from last fight. Stat wise, all of them are inferior to the DMR. I know stats aren’t everything, but DMR is just all around best weapon and there is no real reason not to use it.

That is what I want to know as well… Doesn’t matter to me though, I pick my copy up at the midnight launch. A halo 4 party with friends is worth the 4 day wait.

Released early. I pre-ordered mine from Futureshop(Canadian store) and it said “Shipped” yesterday. Got it today around noon…I was kind of surprised. Don’t know what other places sent it out early.
On topic, I prefer the carbine, it seems the most powerful by far if you’re able to keep your reticle on.

honestly i feel like DMR could use a little nerf, from the footage i seen it will be easily the most used weapon in MP
I’ll be using the DMR in close-medium range as I never really liked the burst firing and spread but I simply despise fighting in long ranges for a long time.
