Hey everyone,
I’m just wondering what you guys would like to see in the upcoming map packs? I am really hoping for a Lich vs Mammoth map, sandstorm was such a cool map because of the mobile bases, they need to some back! Also being able to fly Pelicans/Phantoms online is a long overdue feature.
No, if we were to get Pelicans/Phantoms it would HAVE to be a game mode dedicated to just those vehicles. Why? Because they would be to overpowered, and a Lich vs. a Mammoth, I don’t know how that would work out, but It sounds fun. 
Judging by how well executed the rest of the game is, i’m sure 343 could make it work. And yeah i guess they’d have to have entire game modes dedicated to them, maybe a ctf type thing across the two asteroids on impact?
On the terms of remakes, I would be in favor of seeing Guardian or Narrows returning. I do believe that Haven is a combination of both, at least in a spiritual succession type of way. Those two maps were probably my most played and preferred from Halo 3, so seeing either one of them return in Halo 4 with the visual overhaul and new gameplay mechanics would be interesting.
Original content, which I’m sure is what this thread is more dedicated towards, would have to be a map (or maps) that leans toward a more symmetrical and close range play style. Again, taking reference from Guardian, that map and the gametypes that followed were always fun for me.
I wouldn’t mind seeing a few remakes of big vehicle based maps such as sandtrap, sandbox or dare i say forge world :p, but also with the map packs i think it would be cool if possible to bring back an updated set of armor that the community votes for or an updated vehicle or weapon, i mean yeah 343 have done a great job in revolutionizing the game but don’t forget the history as well.
That doesn’t mean i don’t wanna see new stuff, like i said i’d like bigger more open vehicle based maps, because 343 should show this off because no other game has vehicle gameplay like halo (and please introduce a UNSC flying vehicle).
