Now I know what your thinking. “Sanity Healer 7, your crazy. Halo 4 is still a year away. And your talking about DLC.” All of this is true. Now my idea for a dlc will have the cast of Halo 3: Odst. I know what your thinking (again) “Sanity healer 7, this topic has been talked about a thousand times. What could you possibly have to offer to the table?” Well I’ll tell you.
So the Dlc will be switch between some of the odsts from Halo 3: odst during the battle of installation 00, and a fighter pilot (I’m thinking a sabre pilot, but who knows?) I always wanted to know more about the battle that raged overhead while playing the level “the ark”.
I know this will never happen. But please share your thoughts, and add some stuff (or take away).
Forerunner Campaign DLC: It takes place during the Forerunner war.
Master Chief Campaign DLC: When he’s sleeping in the Cryo-chamber he has a flashback of his training days as a Spartan. And some of the mission he did before the Human-Covenant war.
DLC has been dedicated to new maps in the past as most of the people required for the DLC are map designers and artists. Other departments are required for other IP.

Luckily it isn’t just Bungie working on it anymore.
I don’t know about too much campaign DLC though. Maybe like, one DLC mission that just has some incredible gameplay moments would be alright. Firefight DLC just doesn’t seem as attractive in my eyes.
Most of the effort should be focused on GOOD multiplayer DLC though.
I think campaign DLC should take place at the same time as the Halo 4’s campaign as in it would allow you to see it from an ODST or Elite or Marine’s point of view at the same time Master Chief is fighting somewhere else.
Maps DLC should have maps full of new forge pieces unlike Halo Reach and forge pieces with a bit of colour. Halo 3 had a variety of maps to forge on with a large variety of different themes of objects. Halo Reach just had the same grey objects in every map.

Or you could just read the books. Chief’s history has already been detailed in the books and comics, I think that’s enough.

I like this.
OP, either this, or an entirely different game during lets say the battle of the Ark. I loved ODST, and seeing things through other eyes is good once in a while.

Seriously?
Multiplayer will always have the spotlight (sadly), its time we have something for the campaign players. Multiplayer fans won’t leave because of a few added missions, but campaign fans may come back.
