So I put my H4 disk in my Xbox (My xbox is a regular 360 about 3 or four years old.) and it gets to the start menu, where, as always, after you press A or start it says “checking downloadable content data…” but it won’t start up. A friend invited me yesterday while it was there and it worked fine after that. But it’s back at it again today. I have downloaded all of the map packs and they’ve worked fine. My question is: Is it my Xbox? My disc? My downloads? Or What? Any help would be great.(b.t.w. I only have 840 MB left on my hard drive for storage)

I am having the same problem, I thought my Xbox hated me as non of my games won’t load for some random reason today. None of my friends can’t get past the checking point in Halo 4 either, its probably just a war games map pass glitch 343 need to sort out. #YoloSwag4Jesus
Clear your system cache.
Go to system settings
Memory
then hit Y it should say clear system cache and hit that
Also try deleting and redownloading the maps
I had a problem where i couldnt play the maps on my other account but once i did that it fixed it
It’s not your Xbox or your disc; I’m having the same problem and I’ve got the game installed to my HDD.
I am also having this problem. As soon as I press A at the start screen while signed into an xbox live account, the game gets stuck on the “checking downloadable content data” screen.
It’s definitely not a connection issue as I can access the internet just fine.
Basically I cannot play matchmaking because I can’t use the game while signed into an xbox live account. Also, I tried clearing my HDD’s cache, that didn’t do anything.
343, fix this please.
It is a xbox live problem not 343 problem, most if not all game are seeing the same issues.
I’m having this problem with ME3 as well, so it’s most likely an issue with Xbox.
Also, are you having any trouble with signing-in or going to the dashboard or anything like that?

It’s a problem with Xbox Live that they are aware of and working on.
Me too. Been a while since xbl had issues here.
Just leave it loading for a while and it’ll work.
