Firstly of course huge halo fan played all the games for the last 10+ years and the books/live action/anime ect…ect. can i just say i LOVED the halo 4 campaign. logged onto youtube to watch some of the cutscenes and got the same tingles i got playing through it for the first time. Jesus that music is epic! i learnt one final effort on piano and posted it on youtube back in the day and just listening to that last cutsence with 117 made me want to do it all again!
…if only they released sheet music.
anyway, really missing the online at the moment as my monitor committed suicide (probably got to excited when it saw john’s eyes playing through legendary) but as soon as that comes back i’ll be back on playing again.
I’m a big fan of Halo 4 infinity, my favorite are the most competitive maps as i think the intensity is heightened and there’s a real sense of determination to win compared to the more casual maps. does my heart desire more maps like haven, skyline, abandon, the pit and guardian…HELL YES! but each to their own. my personal opinion is casual players switch between games so they’re never going to pull in lasting numbers. kind of feels like some people might be reluctant to make smaller or symmetrical maps which i don’t understand because they really appeal to alot of people. just that really competitive feel that makes you want to be better at the game is what i think keeps people coming back when you turn it almost into a sport. but hey, im just one dude right?
im a fan of the weapons too, nice variety, good amount and they all seem to have a place and not feel useless. i’ve read some complaints but i cant seem to agree with them.
what else is there? i’m not a huge forger just because i don’t have the time but i do appreciate it and think it is an important part. oh, and as for spartan ops…NAILED IT! really enjoyed Catherine Halsey’s involvement and Laskey’s too. just adds some really good charactors, one especially i was hoping would come into play.
now moving on, halo 4 campaign was so epic! enjoyed the quick-scenes and good god the chief was a boss! it’s the closest to the chief i’ve felt throughout the whole series with the relationship between him and Cortona (super emotional ending) though i hope halo 5&6 keep up the pace because it’s a high bar to reach but i do think 343 are the right guys for the job. just playing as the chief gave me so much personal involvement in the game where i really cared what happened. defiantly one of my favorite campaigns in the series (but you just can’t choose between the kids right?).
in summary, what can i say?
I’ll be waiting anxiously for Halo 5 and i’m bloody EXCITED!!!
Cheers 343, very grateful.
